Road/commuter/touring bike- 1 of a kind!

STUMPJUMPER Specialized road bike, chromoly commuter/tour bike

1996 Stumpjumper FS, this is the classic 1996 model, the reason so many people like it was because it had the Japanese made Chromoly frame which feels much more comfortable than the aluminum or Matrix frames that came after this. It was the last year they made chromoly and is a great material if you crash as sometimes you can bend or pound the frame back to the original shape. I bought 2 of these in 1996 when I worked at a bike shop in college. The other one is green 19" frame left as a mountain bike. It is also here on CL.

Basically I took a really strong mountain bike frame and turned it into a road bike.

Red 19" frame, Good for someone 5'10"- 6' 2", Deore LX and STX-RC compnents, Judy XC 100mm travel front shock, front and rear V-brakes with rolla majigs to work with STI shifters,rear rack, Sun Ringle hubs and rims, 26 x 1.5 skinny small tread tires like new, Selle Italia Flite titanium GEL saddle, rear red flashing LED light, bar end flashing lights.

New tires, water bottle cages, saddle, seat bag with spare tube, pump, SPD peddles.
Just get a helmet and ride! Used but looks very good with good paint! I set this bike up to tour and it is very comfortable on long rides because of the Chomoly frame and front shock! Great for commuting or touring.
