Director of Sales and MLM Recruiting
Job Summary:
This salaried position is open to someone who has a minimum of 5 years successful sales experience working within a network marketing, MLM, or direct selling organization. The Director of Sales and Recruiting works closely with the President and the rest of the sales staff to help develop the sales functions of the company, with specific emphasis on the development of strong sales strategies for each of its markets, as well as the tactics and programs necessary to achieve the company’s expansion plans and fulfill their sales and profit goals. Together, they create a focused plan that involves recruitment, training and coordination of all field sales development and selling activities necessary to achieve the company’s projections and growth objectives. Working with the field sales and leadership and sales staff, the Dir. of Sales/Recruiting is responsible for helping develop and expand the independent representative base and selling organization.
Job Accountabilities:
• Work with the President and the sales staff to carry out the sales strategy that incorporates the tactics, programs and compensation plan necessary to attract and recruit new independent representatives (MLM distributors).
• Participate and confidently speak in company conference calls and meetings. Motivational speaking is highly desirable and the ability to charismatically speak in front of large crowds.
• Review sales results with President on a regular basis and help implement adjustments where necessary to ensure successful achievement of goals and objectives including the monitoring of the compensation plan.
• Oversee and participate in the motivation, training and development of the field leadership and field sales force to achieve more effective selling approaches by working with them in the field.
• Maintain a strong and consistent communication link with the field sales force.
• Working with the website developer, and members of the sales staff, help develop and implement a communication program, utilizing the company newsletter and other communication vehicles including the company website.
• Work with Marketing, Communications and outside vendors to develop support training materials, creative presentation and sales pieces, effective product introduction plans and creative promotional programs that will capture the field’s enthusiasm and stimulate sales and recruiting.
• Work with the Promotions, Incentives and Recognition department to help implement field recognition programs and sales incentives designed to stimulate and motivate the field sales organization to higher levels of productivity.
• Keep informed of all trends in the marketplace involving competitive products, prices, programs and strategies and report such information to the President and the rest of the sales team.
• Evaluate the performance of some of the designated sales staff as directed by the President. Identify opportunities for recognition and promotion, as well as the need for improvements to attain the corporate goals and objectives.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years in direct selling/MLM/network marketing
• Training background in a plus
• Has a network database of contacts
• Experience in planning and developing large events
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Able to supervise multiple projects
• Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
• Detail oriented
