At the moment we just use amateur snaps when marketing our property, but because a picture is worth a thousand words and the economy is so bad for landlords we are thinking about a professional. Before we invest in this, we want to see if it will have an impact. This "gig" is appropriate for someone who is just starting to put together a portfolio or for someone who is willing to offer a first shoot in order to impress a potential client for future work. I've been effected by how horrible the disease is, I've had 2 family members pass away from it and another that is HIV positive now, and feel like I have to make this movie.

I realize I accidentally posted this in multiple areas the first time I created it. I apologize, it was my mistake. As far as I can tell, all of them have been removed, and this will be the only one. Please do not flag it. Thank you in advanced.

Our production, entitled "Mean" is looking for locations at which to shoot. This is a microbudget, independent film, so there will be little to no pay. However, because this is such a small film, and it is to be shot with a documentary approach (in the vein of last year's "The class) we will have a skeleton crew of only eight people, we will not be invading your location with an army of workers, laying down dolly tracks on your floor or bringing in a huge lights and blowing your circuits. The story itself revolves around the life of the modern-day teenager, specifically when it comes to Social Networking sites. The goal of the film is to empower teens, parents, teachers, and law enforcement to make the internet a safer place. And in keeping with the documentary approach, it is about the life of ordinary teens that are put under extraordinary, but realistic, circumstances.

The film is being produced alongside Chapman University, with student crew and Faculty oversight.

One more note. Again, due to the documentary approach, some of the locations we use we may also want (should the location owner desire) to have people from that location in the film to add to the sense or naturalism and inform our Leads' performances.

We are shooting a non-profit student commercial for UCLA and are looking for a RED ONE operator to help us out with shooting/teaching. We have shot with the RED before but our usual DP who goes to the school and owns the camera is currently in Peru shooting for National Geographic. As such, we need an experienced operator who doesn't mind working with students who is not only proficient with the camera, but also doesn't mind being patient with us and teaching us for the day before how to shoot with the camera as well as post-production workflow. I know time is valuable and RED operators are a skilled bunch, so we are willing to pay you to teach/operate with us. Our tentative shoot day is Saturday, July 11th at UCLA, and we need help tutoring on Friday, July 10th after we rent the camera that afternoon.

I know this goes beyond the scope of the normal typical craigslist cam op jobs thanks to the education element, but we are a good bunch that are easy to work with, fun-loving, quite chill, and just want to find out more about this awesome camera. We are a professional-level crew in all other aspects and you'll be given storyboards, shot lists, etc. so don't be scared away by the 'student' label. I am an award-winning writer off many top shows including Seinfeld and Cheers, and ghost-wrote 75 "Bizarro" panels (King Features) along with a number of "Pickles" strips (Washington Post Writers Group).

I'm looking for an artist willing to work on spec at this initial stage, for the opportunity to move forward together on the strip. Writing is very important, obviously, but so is the art work. I'm searching for a distinctive comic strip style, not an illustrator, but a cartoonist. The look I envision is professional, creative, inventive, communicates the humor without being too old-fashioned or simplistically "wacky," clean and easy on the eyes. It's hard to specifically pinpoint the look, but one of my favorite panels, art-wise, is "Drabble." If your artwork isn't quite up to the level I'm referring to, I respectfully ask you to hold off on your submission for now.

It's easiest for me to view links that specifically lead to the kind of thing I'm looking for, as opposed to attachments. Another even easier way for me to judge would be to view some samples within the actual email.

I am a filmmaker in LA just starting to approach clients interested in hiring me to do commercials and music videos. I'm already in negotiations with one company for a commercial campaign... and they'd like to have a car fall off a cliff in a spot.
