Wanted: Director of Landscape Operations
Objective: Looking for experienced landscape operator capable of managing multiple maintenance crews while simultaneously providing exceptional quality of work, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Candidates located in and with experience in Los Angeles strongly preferred.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of similar experience in landscape industry
- Bachelors Degree required
- Must be proficient with a computer and all basic Microsoft Office software
- Have good oral and written communication skills
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Experienced handling and building client relationships
- Must be organized
Responsibilities:
- Operate crews to perform desired tasks consistently and exceed all customer expectations
- Evaluate crew members and quality of service
- Ensure all safety material and procedures are followed
- Recruit, hire and train crew laborer. Replace nonperforming employees.
- Develop, mentor, and supervise new employees and identify promotable associates from crews.
- Perform site audits to ensure properties are being maintained.
- Visit sites to identify opportunities to enhance the beauty of the customer’s site.
- Order all material needed on sites and ensure all equipment is being used properly and keep an inventory of equipment use and maintenance.
- Assist in providing quotes for new maintenance proposals/installations
- Ensure all projects are managed within budget.
- Conduct monthly safety and training meetings.
- Enforce safety and other mandatory company policies.
- Follow up with the client to ensure customer satisfaction.
