A Leading Top 10 U.S. Online luxury wristwatch Retailer projecting over $5 million in 2008 sales (up 100% year-over-year) seeks 1 extremelyl responsible and proactive technical operations/logistics manager to work independently in the Los Angeles jewelry district and manage its daily operations/fulfillment of its luxury wristwatch orders. This individual will make watch pickups and then manage our 10-member professional watch repair team to prepare our inventory for shipment. Other duties include inventory management, inventory ordering, packaging and shipping, negotiations, and detailed photography of watches. Please NOTE: This job requires a lot of physical stamina and the ability to make good decisions under stress as you will be walking around the downtown jewelry district between offices all day. You will be replacing a former VP at Federal Express (FedEx) who is leaving to attend graduate (MBA) school.
This is a $500 million annual market. Revenues are expected to double again in fiscal 2009 (Q4 2008-Q3 2009). We own the leading retail luxury watch website for our leading brand in 4 major markets (U.S.A., U.K., Australia, Canada). This company is run by a top 20 U.S. ranked MBA school graduate. This is a management position and this manager will join our current board member team and will be offered a performance-based equity stake after 1 year with the company, worth potentially six to seven figures.
Compensation totals nearly $60,000 plus benefits in 1st year along with the chance for compensation to grow along with the company. Additional compensation/benefits include: An annual bonus, a performance-based equity stake, Healthcare reimbursement, cell phone & internet paid, Lakers & other team tickets, & more. This is also an ideal position for anyone looking to apply to a top MBA program and who needs 3 to 4 years work experience in the startup arena as your learning about industry, e-commerce, operations, and globalism will be immense and as you may obtain a performance-based recommendation to graduate school from our CEO.
Please NOTE: This is a start-up environment and a work-at-home job and thus requires the ability to work independently, from home and downtown, after the initial training period of 2 weeks. Individuals must be self-motivated, possess stamina, strong-at-heart, and be ready to make this a career. REQUIREMENTS (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY, NO EXCEPTIONS)
*COLLEGE DEGREE FROM TOP 50 RANKED SCHOOL EITHER NATIONALLY, REGIONALLY OR SPECIALLY.
*GPA 3.2 or above (will be verified)
*Excellent Communication skills, energy and positive attitude are a must.
*Extreme levels of responsibility & proactivity
*An ability to take leadership, make good decisions under stress, and negotiate both pricing and process with vendors and service professionals
*An ability to communicate with and respect for people of other culture (mainly Armenians and Mexicans) (Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus)
*Advanced Computer & Technology proficiency (Windows, Excel, Internet & Networking).
*Working high-speed internet & a stable household
*A working car, CA driver’s license, No criminal record (will be verified)
*Must live in Los Angeles or L.A. country/vicinity (No O.C., Ventura, etc.)
*Affinity for luxury watches and the Rolex brand strongly recommended.
*Commitment to make this a career (minimum one year)
*Ability to work extended hours (12/day) over the winter holidays including all of December & January (we are a jewelry retailer and this is our busiest time, Actual Christmas Day, New Years Day and major national holidays will, of course, be off)
*Hours are approx. 8am to 7pm weekdays. (10-hour work days)
