Mechanical Applications Engineer

Equipois is looking for a Mechanical Applications Engineer, and is looking for a highly skilled candidate who wants to get in on the ground floor of a very promising opportunity. The Mechanical Applications Engineer will be responsible for making design recommendations based on customer requirements, as well as configuring and testing systems based on these designs. Must be fully understand the abilities and limitations of the current product and where customization is required.

Job Responsibilities:
• Configure zeroG™ systems that match customers’ specific needs, including application and work environment
• Make recommendations for modifications of existing product catalog or for completely new designs, if needed
• Utilize Solidworks to develop design schematics to be shared with customers, R&D and Manufacturing
• Assemble and test configurations to meet customer needs
• Provide service support, including troubleshooting

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of industry experience and designing precision machined parts and assemblies
• Strong CAD design skills, preferably in Solidworks
• Ability to produce ASME spec 2d drawings
• Highly organized, detail oriented, able to work effectively independently and in teams
• Proven ability to take simultaneous projects through completion in a timely manner
• Basic hands-on skills in the following areas preferred: model shop / metal fabrication, manual lathe and mill a plus
• The ability to collaborate effectively with other team members, including sales, manufacturing, R&D and other Application Engineer
• Time and commitment to devote to a startup in a high growth phase
