Immediate opening for International Wastewater Engineering Design Expert (collection systems, i.e sewer main and interceptor piping etc; pump station and treatment design in India) with MS in Civil, Sanitary or Public Health Engineering and over 15 years of experience.
Additional openings for International Wastewater Engineer Personnel as expert(s) for overseas governmental infrastructure projects in South-East Asia; particularly in India. The expert positions include Project Leader/Managers and Engineers in areas of Civil, Pipeline and Pump Station, Hydraulic, Drainage, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, Leak Detection, Structural, Wastewater Treatment & Operation and Financial Specialists.
The experts will guide and assist local country engineering staff in performing various project tasks which will include the following:
Review pre-investment studies.
Finalize sewerage planning and design criteria.
Prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and Detailed Engineering Designs of wastewater treatment plants.
Prepare technical specifications.
Prepare work contract packages; involves preparation & evaluation of Pre-Qualification and Bid Documents, and recommendation for contract award.
Evaluate contractor/bidders proposals; review of basic approach proposed by contractors and ensure that the proposed approach contains all necessary information and complies with the set criteria specified in the specifications.
Review and give comments on survey data, design criteria including those for water quality, structural design, construction materials and equipment, construction method and construction schedule.
Organize monthly progress review meetings and highlight the bottlenecks and corrective actions needed during design and construction phases.
The minimum qualifications includes a BS in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Sanitary Engineering (MS preferred); and a Chartered Accountant for Financial Specialists with minimum 10 (minimum 15 for Project Manager) years of experience. Expenses paid include transportation (airline ticket etc), accommodation, meals etc. The positions will require presence overseas for approximately 3-4 months at a time (it should be OK to stay longer if you wish) at the job location (at an overseas city) with about 2-3 overseas trips in a year.
