Our social gaming startup is seeking an outstanding, motivated LAMP developer to join our team. Salary is highly competitive and the work environment is relaxed and friendly. Applicants must able to work full-time on-site in Hollywood.
We’re looking for applicants with the following qualifications:
* Extensive experience with all aspects of the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack.
* Excellent knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and techniques using PHP 5.
* Knowledge of web front-end development, including HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, browser capability and accessibility requirements.
* Ability to implement code efficiency techniques such as reuse of common modules and identification of opportunities for abstraction, consolidation and/or reusability.
*Knowledge of OpenSocial, the MySpace Developer Platform, and the Facebook API (FBML) are major pluses. Previous experience and/or interest in developing social games and applications should be noted.
* Experience with development and consumption of web-services (SOAP, REST, XML-RPC).
* Excellent debugging and trouble-shooting techniques.
* Evaluation of feature designs and how they translate into the appropriate technology.
* Experience with version control software such as Subversion.
*Strong organizational skills and the ability to work individually and as part of team to produce results.
