The U.S. Census Bureau is seeking self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic talent to join the nation’s largest data gathering agency. Those hired will have the opportunity to contribute to the American Community, American Housing, Current Population, Labor and Statistics, National Crime Victimization and National Health Survey’s (just to name a few) on a monthly basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Conduct in-person field interviews/surveys
· Contact respondents to obtain survey data
· Assure accurate and complete answers to survey questions
· Transmit data electronically (laptop provided)
· Assist with clerical processing
· Maintain professional demeanor
· Bi-lingual a plus
Requirements:
· US Citizenship
· Current resident of Los Angeles County
· 1 year of administrative work experience and/ or 2 years of education above high school
· Valid drivers license and dependable car
· Landline home telephone upon hire
· Available to work days, evenings and weekends (as necessary)
· Pass department aptitude test
· Pass background check
Testing will be conducted:
· Tuesday, December 1st – Los Angeles (West Hollywood)(Targeting candidates who reside in 90010, 90028, 90036, 90038 & 90048)
· Wednesday, December 2nd and Friday, December 4th – Southeast L.A. Crenshaw(Targeting candidates who reside in 90003, 90037, 90044, 90047, 90062 & 90250)
· Friday, December 11th – Moreno Valley
· On-site interviews conducted after testing for candidates who pass the examination
· Application testing session time approx 6-8 Hours
