Self Realization Fellowship, a non-profit, non-denominational religious organization is seeking an HR Manager to be part of the Employee Services Team.
This position will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of an Employee Services department serving approximately 150 employees. The ideal candidate is experienced working in the non-profit arena and skilled in recruiting, coaching, training and negotiating employee related issues. Other responsibilities include:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
HR Administration policies and processes
Manage HR Assistant and coordinate with Employee Services counterparts
Interact with Payroll administrator regularly
Manage Workers Compensation claims
Coordinate Leaves of Absence (FMLA, disability, personal leaves, etc.)
Implement organization-wide HR programs
Provide leadership and daily support to managers and supervisors relative to:
- Employee relations and issue resolution
- Policy and process development
- Adherence to federal and state regulations to ensure legal compliance
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5 years experience of a broad-based generalist background
College degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
Track record of taking initiative, being pro-active in producing HR solutions, leading HR projects and developing programs
Strong knowledge of federal and state laws
Demonstrated ability to partner with organizational leaders to drive HR initiatives/processes
Experience working in a non-profit organization a plus
Excellent written and oral communications skills for use with all levels of the organization
