Photographer seeking a talented individual with excellent organizational skills. Qualified candidates must posses 2 or more working years in the photo industry as a digital tech, photo assistant, retoucher, and or studio manager. Candidates must posses full studio knowledge and be able to manipulate and archive all digital and traditional photographs. The ideal candidate must have a strong working knowledge of digital and traditional photography with working knowledge in the photographic capture process, scanning, color management, retouching and printing, all at a commercial standard. The candidate must also know how to prepare images to be viewed on the web and have an understanding of how to connect to ftp servers and make file transfers through the internet using a local mac network. Expert skills in photographic manipulation and retouching in adobe photoshop with the mac osx environment is a must. A portfolio of before/after retouching work will be requested at the interview.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
• Working with and processing raw files from professional digital cameras and digital backs. (nikon, canon, hassle blade and phase one)
• Assisting on and lighting on commercial shoots.
• Preparing different promo cards and mail-outs for print production to specific standards as outlined by the print house.
• Scanning film from negative and transparency in a color controlled environment
• Printing photo quality images on epson ink jet printers
• Ability to keep track of over 60,000 images. Must be able to adapt to and maintain the existing organizational system.
• Experience with backup systems
• Experience with x-serve storage from apple
• Experience with networking and it devices and systems

Other desired qualifications are:
• Knowledge of macromedia flash and dream weaver to continue the maintenance of existing websites
• Design skills with adobe illustrator and indesign for creating promo pieces that stay with the same 'look and feel" as other existing pieces.
• Good knowledge of mac hardware and troubleshooting.
• Writing abilities and a general knowledge of photo trade magazines and their article format for product reviews.
• Ability to touch-type 30wpm or more.
• A sense of humor and desire to have fun, learn and create!
