Well established women’s contemporary line is seeking a Design Assistant.

RESPONSIBILITIES
-Excellent design & graphic skills
-Create original hand sketches of style groups based on concept/direction
-Understanding of overseas and domestic manufacturing, garment construction, sample room, pre-production, and costing
-Create technical flat sketches for tech packs
-Vendor follow up and data entry

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-Degree in fashion design required
-Minimum entry level experience in apparel design (1+ yrs)
-Must have experience in freehand design sketching
-Knowledge of fabrics and garment construction
-Microsoft Office proficient, knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop a must
-Exceptional organization and follow up skills
