A Place Called Home is seeking a dynamic Bi-lingual (Spanish) Counselor
Reports to: Director of Counseling Services FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Hours: Part-time (schedule may vary – average of 20-25hrs per week)

A Place Called Home is a dynamic, non-profit youth center in South Central Los Angeles. APCH provides educational programs, counseling, mentoring, music, dance and art classes, and fitness opportunities. As youth participate in our programs, they discover interests and talents and develop a better sense of themselves and their place in the world around them. Our goal is to increase the likelihood that youth will stay in school, pursue higher education, attain viable jobs, and become active citizens capable of making positive change in the world in which they live. SUMMARY
The Counselor is responsible for facilitation of counseling sessions and activities for participating members and families in English and Spanish. Counselor will collaborate with Case Manager and Member and Parent Services Coordinator to provide wrap-around support services to selected participants.

Degree: Masters degree in counseling or clinical psychology
Knowledge of best practices in wrap-around services and family systems

Experience
Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in counseling youth and families in at-risk environment
