AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is searching for a Full Time Popular Opinion Leader Program Manager to work in our Public Health Division. The salary for this position is $40,000-$45,000/yr depending on experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Initiates and leads the community assessment for MSM networks within SPA 4 and SPA 8 to adequately reach 15% of the population in these neighborhoods.
Manages all aspects of the POL intervention and supervise all paid and unpaid staff in the intervention.
Works and collaborates with other programs within the PHD to support participants in the POL model.
Recruits, trains and schedules volunteers to provide outreach in SPA 4 and SPA 8.
Promotes volunteer retention by conducting meetings, relationship building and volunteer appreciation activities.
Provides the monthly reports to the funding agency (OAPP).
Attends the weekly managers meeting.
Assists with the weekly meetings in communities; POL trainings, creation of risk assessments, certification tests and documentation of trained POL participant’s conversations with peers.
Builds and maintains positive relationships with other AIDS Service Providers as well as other community leaders.
Participation in AHF Meetings/Committees
Attends HIV Testing Counselors Staff Meetings.
Attends Volunteer Testing Counselors Meetings.
Attends other AHF meetings as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages subordinate supervisor(s). Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with AHF’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
4 year college degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Computer/Software Skills & Abilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office and Word Processing software.
Other Skills & Abilities/Qualifications
Must be able to travel 80% of the time.
Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Must have at least one year of experience as an HIV Testing Counselor.
Must have at least one year of supervisory experience.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
Valid California drivers license with proof of liability insurance.
Valid certification as an HIV Pre and Post Testing Counselor
