Job Summary
Accountable for recommending, developing, testing, implementing, supporting, securing and monitoring all administrative functions necessary for the efficient operation of Active Directory.
Analyzes problems and application software requirements and comes up with a hardware and software design to solve the problem or meet the requirements.
Works with various teams to implement the solution. This includes the selection of the hardware platform, operating system, and application software.
Must be able to provide technical oversight and serves as a project manager during the implementation.
Must be facile with multiple operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows) and a variety of hardware platforms and peripherals.
Qualifications
BS in CS/EE or equivalent.
MCSE certification
At least 7 years practical experience in a complex, multiplatform environment including specification of hardware platforms, vendor bid evaluation, procurement, and installation. Must be able to take vendor application hardware requirements and translate that into a procurement list and be able to provide guidance and oversight on the installation and configuration of the hardware and software.
In-depth knowledge of hardware platforms and components including various CPU and memory configurations, disk drives (both local attached and SAN attached), and other peripherals
Must have working knowledge of and network switches and routers.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to deal effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities, works effectively as a team player.
Creative and organized with a proven ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and utilize time effectively.
Executes all job responsibilities and assignments promptly, reliably, honestly, and ethically.
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
ENTERPRISE ENVIRONMENT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!!!
