Company Description:
InfraReDx, Inc. is a science-based medical device company with expertise in technologies useful for characterization of coronary plaques. The company first developed a system utilizing near-infrared spectroscopic (NIRS) technology to identify plaque composition. It has now developed IVUS technology to provide complementary information about the structure of plaques. The company, located in Burlington, Mass., was founded in 1998 to meet the unmet medical need for detection and identification of lipid core containing plaques of interest in the coronary arteries.
Responsibilities include:
• Completing regularly scheduled Preventive Maintenance calls, new product installations and customer service requests on medical imaging equipment
• Managing repair parts inventory while maintaining proper cycle counts
• Completing Functional Inspections on designated equipment
• Maintaining customer service logs and information and internal service records
• Training Cath Lab staff (physicians, nurses and technicians) on the proper use of the product; highlighting any changes on product upgrades
• Managing tools and test equipment inventory ensuring diagnostic tools are properly calibrated as required
• Utilizing Infraredx CAPA process to resolve customer service delivery issues and conducting root cause analysis that will lead to effective problem solving
Desired:
• Past experience in Field Service troubleshooting electro-mechanical devices and responding to customer service needs
• Excellent computer skills, including the diagnosis and repair of problems
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner
• Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution based service process
• Experience diagnosing and repairing medical imaging equipment in the Healthcare Industry
• Exceptional skills as a change agent and process oriented individual
• Dependable: Being reliable, responsible, dedicated, committed, and fulfilling obligations
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelors degree, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, equivalent military education or Associates degree with a minimum of 3 years experience servicing medical imaging equipment, or a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 10 years experience servicing electronic equipment
• Willingness to travel 75% within specified geographic regions
• Must have a valid driver's license
