Are you an experienced Polymer Chemist? We are looking for a PhD Polymer Chemist to join our team in Los Angeles.
We are seeking a chemist with training and experience in polymer chemistry and polymer synthesis. The successful applicant will be responsible for the development of synthesis procedures in the area of polymer science with a particular focus on scale-up and commercialization of innovative polymers, monomers and reagents.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ph.D. in synthetic polymer or organic chemistry.
- 5 years of relevant industrial experience.
- Expertise in UV curable technology.
- Experience in modern polymerization techniques is highly desirable.
- Innovative, hands-on, self-starter, goal-oriented individual with drive for solving problems and finding solutions in a timely manner.
- Project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and data driven.
Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Works safely in the laboratory or plant setting.
- Willing to travel as needed.
- Working knowledge of polymer synthesis and characterization.
