We’re building a new consumer-facing web app and are looking for a smart and creative problem solver to join our back-end dev team.
Looking for a rapidly growing, ground-breaking startup located in Hollywood? We love what we’re doing and are seeking an energetic, multi-skilled developer to join our team. This is a contract position, starting immediately (starting as part-time with increasing hours). This position can be on-site or remote (with some face-to-face meetings) – but you MUST be located in Pacific Timezone.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Building an API gateway server in python
• Lead e-commerce integration for our Django application
• Build a scraper/parser solution to ensure data integrity
• Assist with frontend integration/production using Javascript/JSON, CSS, etc.
• Other projects as needed.
The ideal candidate has:
• 2-5 yrs professional development experience in Python (Java and/or C++ a bonus)
• Familiarity with building web applications in Django/Turbogears/Rails/CakePHP
• Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, AJAX/JSON and Javascript
On the softer side:
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Good at creating well structured/documented code
• Experience working in startups & fast-paced environments
