Software Development Engineer in Test
Oversee.net is looking for a talented and passionate individual to help bring our DomainSponsor product to the next level. We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test who enjoys writing code and improving tests for a service that reaches millions of users. If you are an experienced Software Developer with a strong background and passion for testing, a desire to break things and then fix them, and a need to have your contributions really make a difference, this is the position for you.
Responsibilities:
• Working with product and development to understand requirements of the product
• Write detailed and appropriate test cases to fully exercise the product
• Building and integrating automated test cases with a focus on test hooks, tool development, and infrastucture development
• Provide feedback on design and anticipate where things may go wrong
• Proactively identify problems or risks and then work with the appropriate parties to develop a solution
• Be a champion for quality to ensure the product works as intended
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years experience in software testing with an emphasis in test case design
• Minimum of 5 years experience in writing and debugging code. Preferably in a language like Perl, Python or PHP.
• Experience in developing automated tests and tools
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong ability to break software and find edge cases
• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or equivalent
• Experience testing web based products
• Knowledge of database systems is a plus
