Key Skills and Competencies: Seafood or Food industry experience a plus
1. Experienced driver with the ability to maneuver truck in difficult and/or congested areas.
2. Must be at leas 25 years of age; possess a valid driver’s Class B license form the appropriate state; Must provide a current driving record with no moving violations in the last 7 years
3. Two years Class B driving experienced preferred.
4. Thorough knowledge of fresh/frozen products and packaging
5. Strong initiative with proven ability to use time wisely and be productive while maintaining high quality
6. Dependable, honest and able to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
7. Adequate communication skills (able to read, write and speak English)
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
9. Ability to work safely and comply with food industry safety standards & health codes
10. Must be able to work in a team environment and be a team player
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Properly drives products to assigned customers with promptness and courtesy
2. Operates and maintains refrigerated delivery truck in an operable, clean and safe manner
3. Properly maintains daily route sheet
4. Reports any delivery invoice discrepancies to supervisor via Nextel at time of delivery
5. Accurately checks-in signed and C.O.D. invoices and credit paperwork with supervisor at end of route.
6. Must be able to access difficult entryways and walkways to deliver product.
7. Makes special pick-up and deliveries as assigned
8. Assures that the product is maintained in a safe & healthy atmosphere in accordance with standards.
9. Must work in a safe & healthy manner and assure that any accident or hazard is immediately reported to his/her supervisor
10. Other duties as assigned
