Come craft the UX for this new consumer-facing web application!
We are a rapidly growing, ground-breaking startup located in Hollywood. We love what we’re doing and are seeking an energetic, multi-skilled graphic/web designer to join our team. This is a contract/perm position, starting immediately. Locals only (even if you don't have to be in the office everyday)
You Have:
- At least 3-5 yrs Professional Web Design experience
- Strong design, illustration and web typography skills
- Advanced skills in CS4 (Photoshop & Illustrator) for producing and optimizing graphics for the Web
- Highly proficient in coding HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX/JQuery, XHTML (familiarity with cross browser development)
- Experience with web template frameworks (RubyonRails, Django, TurboGears, Pylons, etc.)
- Deep understanding of WEB 2.0 and SEO best practices
You Will:
- Design the front-end of our web application & Translate your designs into standards-based HTML/CSS
- Develop clean and consistent web application interfaces and web pages using table-less HTML/CSS
- Analyze, diagnose and propose solutions to enhance usability
- Develop a full range of features with scalability in mind
- Collaborate directly with Developers in solving creative and technical challenges
- Participate in an Agile/Scrum product development process

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Dedicated to delivering on-time, while having fun
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced iterative development environment (includes initiating projects, delivering on time, communicating well, and following-through)
- Good at problem-solving and creative thinking
- In Love with the Internet
This position can be on-site or remote with periodic on-site meetings
