Established feature-film screenwriter (multiple screen credits, awards) seeks intern to assist in the adaptation of a best-selling novel. The bulk of the work for the position will be reformatting parts of the novel from Microsoft Word into Final Draft, on an Apple computer, while the writer writes. There may also be some running for lunch or supplies.
If you’re interested, it should be for the reference, and the experience (which will be relaxed, hopefully fun, and rewarding). There will be some pay, but not much. The work at hand should take a week or so; depending on what happens, there may be more work to follow. Hours will be flexible. Location is at writer’s home in Hollywood Hills.
Some college experience is preferred. A working knowledge of Final Draft application is kind of a must. Finally, I’d like to give this position to someone who is a writer, or who is thinking of becoming one, as I think a lot will be learned in a short period of time.
Please respond with a short letter explaining what you are up to, and why this might interest you. If you have a resume, throw that in as well.
If you responded to the earlier version of this post, you don’t have to respond again, and you are not out of the running, and thank you.
