Yeepet.com - A Silicon Valley startup is seeking passionate pet lovers to join our channel management/online marketing team. We provide a unique, fun and engaging online social network platform to pet lovers and pet business owners all over the world.
Currently we are seeking passionate and talented pet lovers to work with us part time either as Channel Manager, or Online Marketing Intern. This is an excellent opportunity for pet loving college students or graduates seeking internship, or pet lovers who like to write anything about pets and grow significantly with us in the near future. If you are retired or unemployed at this time, you are very welcome as well.
Job Description:
- Editorial/Information Management. Source, edit and publish online content such as pet events into our social network.
- Promoting Information. Promote your posts through various online channels including Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Blogpost and other pet loving communities / websites. Share your posts with other users on their websites and drive more traffic back to your posts.
- Feedback gathering. Conduct market research and gather user feedback. Provide user feedback to us for site improvement.
- Moderating. Moderate and manage the comments posted in your assigned channel on yeepet.com and reply to other users based on their comments.
- The online marketing intern will manage our weekly email newsletter including creating, editing, scheduling newsletters using Dreamweaver and iContact.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree required;
- Must be pet lover passionate about animals and writing for them.
- Passionate about interacting with other online users in written format and managing online community, such as posting replies, asking questions, discovering and screening inappropriate content.
- Advanced user with social networking; good familiarity with Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Blogpost and other pet loving communities / websites.
- Active member on other generic social networks and eager to drive more traffic back to your pages with your posts on yeepet.com.
- Excellent writing skills, good command in English grammar.
- Quick learner, ability to learn new technology and to master market trends in pet social networking landscape.
- Very well self-motivated; able to multi-task and work independently under pressure.
- For the online marketing intern position, we need someone experienced as an advanced user of Dreamweaver and ideally can code html, css.
