SES (Supplemental Educational Services) Program Analyst
THINK Together, a non-profit, is one of California's largest and leading providers of academically-focused after-school programs. Currently THINK Together serves 35,000 students at 200 locations across a four-county region of Southern California (Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside & San Bernardino Counties). THINK is an acronym: Teaching, Helping, Inspiring and Nurturing Kids. THINK Together’s vision is that all children will receive the support they need from family, school and community to enable them to reach their potential and become productive adults and, responsible, contributing members of the community. THINK Together’s vision is executed through an ‘eco-system’ of strategic learning programs centered on the school system, which includes afterschool school programs, tutoring, Saturday and summer programs, and early/family literacy (pre-school and elementary grade focus). Alignment with the school day, along with parent engagement, community engagement and community health will help the communities we serve to thrive and help students reach their full potential.
THINK Together is an indentified SES provider and works closely with School Districts to align these services. SES (Supplemental Educational Services) is a provision of Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ECSEA), as reauthorized by the No Child Left Behind (NLB). It is the primary goal of the grant to identify promising alignment practices and to demonstrate that student achievement is significantly greater in an environment of strategically aligned initiatives than it is with unaligned programming.
