Feit Electric is currently seeking Graphic Designers with 2-5 years experience.
Responsibilities:
This position will provide junior level graphic design/illustration services. The ideal candidates will:
• Be able to identify and routinely uses the most effective, cost efficient and best business practices to execute processes;
• Continually evaluate their effectiveness and appropriateness.
• Assure that quality of services meets internal and external customer requirements.
• Remain current on developments in the graphics and communication fields.
• Produce artwork using a computer according to guidelines that are received from the art director:
• Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, selects style and size of type
• Execute layouts for catalogs, brochures, manuals and packaging
• Produce quality photographs
• Produce illustrations for manuals
• Layout packaging templates
• Execute production instructions
• Create packing, marking and labeling instructions
• Control art dept documents for the quality system
• Assist in maintaining electronic data base of all projects generated by the art dept
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors degree in Design, Graphic Communications or other related discipline with typically a minimum of 2 plus years of graphic design experience or equivalent, including demonstrated experience (portfolio) in original graphic design, multicolor editorial and technical communications. Must be able to apply advanced concepts and practices of the graphics profession. Requires comprehensive written and verbal communication, interpersonal, presentation, analytical, organizational skills, effective negotiation skills and the ability to prioritize and handle a large volume of projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Must have advanced Mac skills including a working familiarity with major graphics applications, such as: Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and Quark. The ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment is also required. Web Design experience a plus.
