Hello. My name is Randy Ramirez. I am a guitarist from Los Angeles and Orange County areas. I am exceptionally well on guitar. Eddie Van Halen is my main influence and I can play anything he can play, no joke.
But I'm a well rounded musician and can play many instruments and understand music a great deal. I have been in 2 great bands that have gone pretty far and have also produced 2 albums and now I am producing and writing and recording the new HEMME album "Questions..."
The bands I have been in were POLARIS & Cinder Red, and now HEMME!!!
POLARIS is an innovative band from the Southern California area with a desire to bring back the significance of the lead guitar and complex song writing. With dynamic vocal passages, winding guitar melodies, seamless bass lines, and high energy percussion this band has created a sound that can only be described as truly unique for these times.
They were recently selected as one of the top 16 bands/artists from the western states by Disc Makers Independent Music World Series in January 2005 out of 1,000 entrants. The judges were A&R reps from TAXI.
POLARIS was also chosen by a board of music professionals from Ernie Ball to play on the Van's Warped Tour at Cal State Long Beach on July 11, 2003. This was an amazing accomplishment for a new band, edging out 2,600 entrants.
Cinder Red has already climbed into the music scene despite their recent formation in January 2006. The untitled 2006 demo brought back the fist pumping rock era, the shredding guitar, and the throw your fist up catchy songwriting feel. Try not to be fooled by the short time Cinder Red has existed. Cinder Red comes from a veteran background, cultivated from the band Polaris (Taxi's CD Compilation "Top 16 Band") and the singer of Aurous (Inland Empire "Best Live Show", "Best Indie CD", Nominee). All members have played venues ranging from "Soma" in San Diego to the "Roxy" in Los Angeles, and many more.
Within a few short months, this metal/rock band has already produced a demo, and booked successful shows. Cinder Red hit over 15,000 plays on "Myspace" in just 2 months. Cinder Red was also a front page artist on purevolume.com as well as a former number one on the charts at numberonemusic.com. Inspiration streams from 80's hair metal (ex: Van Halen, Guns and Roses), to modern rock (ex: Seven Dust, Incubus, Nonpoint, Alter Bridge). The next step is conquering orange-county with piercing guitar riffs and catchy vocals.
Furthermore..... Cinder Red has earned a nomination for "Best Hard Rock" in 2007 for Orange County Music awards. Cinder Red has released a couple songs from their new album, D.I., that will be out at the end of July. The song writing has progressed on this new album, taking a venture into pop-metal with a dramatic vibe. The music is comparable to bands such as Avenged Sevenfold, Papa Roach, and Sevendust, with a back beat. I had to leave this band due to differences with a member and also needed to move on to more awarding projects.
HEMME is a hard rock band out of Los Angeles, California. The five members are rooted with their love for rock in this chemistry charged dynamic group. All driven with the same goal to bring back great music, they use their drive with a fresh new aggression. But, their debut album "Questions..." is full of more than just the aggressive nature of what makes it so fun. It also moves through an emotional depth that drives the band with the concept that started it. HEMME has almost 100,000 plays in less than a month.

I can pretty much do anything you would like me to do in the studio or at a performance. And I am great to work with and I can come up with good stuff of my own if needed to for your project.
I charge only $100 per hour in studio time, and $100 for 1 performance. I can learn songs very quickly. If you send me a cd or mp3's of the music I would need to learn, it will only take me an hour or less to learn it note for note no matter how many songs or how complex. Styles make no difference.
Trust me, I will save you a great deal of trouble if you are looking for a live or studio guitarist. I'm not looking to joining any particular band as I am already working on an album playing, engineering and producing an album right now. But work on the side for your needs is something I am very convenient for.
But no fear, I am here if you need me to fill in on anything live or recorded.
