As a Merchandiser/Buyer you will be responsible for:
Sourcing, selecting, and proposing educational products for inclusion in our annual catalogs, retail stores and marketing materials
Communicating current sales trends, histories and standards in the marketplace
Preparing and delivering product presentations to management and sales force
Attending industry trade shows, conferences and focus groups (involves some travel)
Essential skills and qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years buying experience
Proficiency in Word/Excel
Visible enthusiasm for educational products
Sense of ownership and can-do attitude
Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills
Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a committed team
Strong detail orientation
Common sense approach to problem solving
Teaching experience a plus
