About Me
My name is Jannah and I am a certified Holistic Health Practitioner and a graduate of the California College of Physical Arts in Huntington Beach where I started teaching in 2004. My education and certification consists of over 1000 hours of training in various techniques of massage and body/energy work. I have been practicing in the field of the healing arts, participating in various events and Farmers Markets/Arts & Crafts Fairs, and at various spas as well as independently since 2003.
As an instructor, I strive to create a fun and healing environment and present students with fundamentals of the trade, real world examples, and offer a forum for sharing and discussion. As a therapist, my goal is to assist others physically, mentally, and spiritually by incorporating and sharing the skills and experience that I have acquired.
Being passionate in nature, I possess a delicate discernment of compassion and empathy for others, and I gain a sense of self-gratification in assisting others manifest awareness and healing within their own mind, body and spirit.

CHAKRA JOURNEYS
Chakra Workshops & Classes - Offered in various locations (Please view my schedule of workshops and classes if you would like information on dates and locations)
These workshops/classes are designed to provide an understanding of the origin and systemic use of the chakras. Journey through the seven main chakras and learn why it is important to keep these energy centers of our body clear and balanced. Explore a variety of techniques and therapies which assist toward well-being through transformation, self-discovery, and self-healing. Learn how to keep the chakras balanced and how to recognize where and why a dis-ease has manifested in the physical, emotional, and/or spiritual body. Discussion and sharing in a group setting relating to the lectured topics provide a space in which everyone participating can benefit. Some workshops/classes include yoga and meditation, as well as hands on instruction on how to perform chakra therapy/balancing on yourself and others.
Private Chakra Consultation
This private consultation includes an introduction to the chakras and a personal chakra analysis. It is recommended to have a consultation before having a Chakra Balancing Session or Private Chakra Journey Session.
Chakra Balancing Session
Utilizes essential oils, crystals, guided visualization, energywork, and massage that work together to aid in the process of clearing blockages and allowing energy to flow more freely and effectively within the chakra system.
Private Chakra Journey Sessions
These private sessions follow the same fundamental techniques as the Chakra Journey Workshop, except it is on an individual basis. It is recommended to go through the chakras in sequential order and spend at least one session on each chakra. This journey is different for everyone, and it deserves as much time that is needed for each individual to process.
THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE
Private Massage Workshops (Pair/Couple)
Share the healing gift of touch to those you love most! Learn the basics of the art of massage using swedish, deep tissue, and shiatsu techniques. This workshop also includes preparation for massage, draping, proper body mechanics, flow, and more! Practice with your friend or partner under guidance and supervision in a warm and supportive atmosphere. This workshop may be taken as many times as you and your partner/friend like or until both of you are comfortable with the techniques. There is always something new to learn each time.
*(Initial workshop must be scheduled a minimum of 2 hours)
Signature Massage
This combination of Swedish, Deep Tissue and Shiatsu massage is tailored to the concerns of each client. The traditional Swedish technique relaxes and promotes circulation while the concentrated pressure of Deep Tissue therapy releases muscle tension. When integrated with the ancient healing method of stretching and acupressure of Shiatsu, the body and soul are elevated to extraordinary new levels.
Hot Stone Massage
This is a Signature massage combined with heated stones, which are glided across the body with warm oil and placed on specific points of the body to help melt away stress.
Pregnancy Massage
This nurturing massage focuses on the specific needs of the expectant mother as her body goes through major dramatic physiological, psychological, spiritual, and social changes during this experience. This therapeutic treatment can help alleviate the discomforts and overall fatigue often associated with pregnancy.
Thai/Shiatsu Combo Massage
The combination of these two ancient techniques, which have been practiced for thousands of years, includes yoga-like stretching and rhythmic pressure along the body's meridian lines to unblock and stimulate the flow of energy. Designed to be both relaxing and stimulating, this massage also helps to improve flexibility, reduce tension, and bring balance to the body.

One of the main contributors to our everyday stress is our workplace. 70% of workers surveyed by a national survey stated that their job is very stressful. Stress is the #1 cause of disability. Chair massage counters the circulatory problems inherent with office work and provides an appreciated break for employees. Sitting in a massage chair opens up the back muscles, relieves strain on the neck and provides a gentle respite for eyes usually glued to a computer monitor. Even 5-15 minutes of massage to the neck, back, shoulders, arms, and hands can increase circulation, returning energy levels and helping keep the body injury free.

The Chakra System
The Chakra System originated in the ancient Hindu system of healing dating back to 2,500 BC. Yogis have used the chakra system for thousands of years as an integral part of holistic healing.
The word chakra comes from the Sanskrit word meaning sacred wheel or disk. From the great spiral galaxies, reaching thousands of light years across, to the billions of atoms swirling in a grain of sand, The Universe is composed of spinning wheels of energy.
At the inner core of each one of us spins seven of these wheel-like centers of consciousness. They are focal points of energy which have a direct, immediate, and profound effect on our daily lives. The chakras correspond to different aspects of our life and carry urges, emotions, and habits, as well as the imprints of all that has happened to us. They are centers of activity for the reception, assimilation, and transmission of vital life force energy.
Together, these seven chakras form a profound formula for wholeness, linking our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual selves into one indivisible whole. As seven vibratory modalities of spiritual existence, they are a means of connecting us with Spirit. These sacred centers offer profound wisdom that speaks to both personal and planetary evolution.
When embraced, these "Sacred Centers of the Self" will take you on an endless spiritual journey through life and The Universe.
Emotional Healing
"Our issues are in our tissues". This phrase commonly used by bodyworkers, refers to the physical toll that emotional stress and trauma can have on our bodies. Experiences and feelings can actually become part of our physiology, keeping us from fully processing difficult experiences and moving on. Fortunately, massage and bodywork can help dislodge and process stored and often hidden grief and pain, resulting in emotional release and the ability to let go of anxiety and sorrow.
Each time we are touched, the emotions related to that touch are stored in our mind and in our body's tissues. We not only store the emotions of pleasure and happiness, but also stress and fear. These stored experiences show up in bad posture, aches and pains or, when we're fortunate, healthy, functioning muscles and joints. Just as it takes more muscles to frown than to smile, the effort it takes to tuck away experiences or feelings we'd rather forget can cause fatigue and tension.
When you receive a massage, the muscles and tissues release on an emotional level in much the same way they release physical tension. This letting go manifests in many forms - an audible sigh, laughter, muscle twitching, or even tears. In the safe, nurturing space of a therapy room, people are able to let down their defenses, making these kinds of emotional releases a common occurrence.
Remember that emotional release during bodywork is not unusual and is actually a natural and beneficial part of the cleansing, rejuvenating process of massage. You may choose to continue the massage, or request the therapist work more slowly or only on certain areas. But if you decide not to go on, that's okay, too.
Massage is a healing touch that relaxes and releases. Welcome that release, accept it as your body's way of finding balance and leading you to a higher state of health, both emotionally and physically. If you find yourself on the massage table laughing or crying, you are in a true state of body-mind connection. Go with the experience. Relax, breathe deeply and allow your body and mind to free itself of the past.
