Fast-paced, high growth third party logistics company, TriCap International LLC (a subsidiary of www.capacityllc.com) requires an experienced and ambitious Operations Supervisor looking for an exciting opportunity.
Responsibilities: The Operations Supervisor will provide day-to-day operational oversight of a new facility in conjunction with senior management. The position reports to the Operations Manager.
• Manage and monitor a labor force of 20+ employees, including temp and fulltime associates and supervisors. Activities to be supervised include container unloading, transloading, case picking, pick / pack / ship, assembly, EDI, e-commerce order fulfillment, shipping to consumers and retailers;
• Operate software tools for yard and container contents management. Implement and operate existing WMS, EDI and online inventory / order software. We are a 100% software-driven company.
• Facility Management. Schedule inbound container deliveries, by telephone and email. Route of inbound and outbound carriers, oversee shipping department (UPS, FedEx, etc) and execute on day to day warehouse responsibilities (i.e., schedule repairs and maintenance, supervise warehouse security, open or close facility;
• Assist with facilities tours for prospective or new clients. Work with Executive Team on Business Development;
• Excellent computer and communication skills. Bilingual in Spanish is a major plus.
Qualifications: the job requires great communication skills, hands-on computer knowledge, and a very detailed-oriented individual. Additional requirements:
• 3-7 years of operations management experience is a must;
• high school degree or GED required,
• college education strongly preferred
• extensive software-based warehouse/logistics/operations experience
