Okay, let me start by saying that for the time being, this would be on SPEC. I know that's a tall order and we all need to get paid, but I'm looking for someone who's looking to break into the business and you'll find that 95% of work done before finding a publisher (sometimes even after you have found a publisher) is done on spec. That being said, I'm not looking to produce a full comic book at the moment. Just some concept designs and perhaps a few sample pages to assist with pitching the comic. I also may be able to assist with some pay as we move along, but I can't promise that at the moment.

Now for a bit about myself and the project. I'm an animation professional who has worked both on the executive and creative side. I'll be happy to provide you with more info about my experience and credits if you're interested.

I have several comic projects in various stages of development/pitching. This ad is for a childrens'/all ages comic. As such, I'm looking for an artist that can work in a somewhat "cartoony" style. Ideally, I'm looking for something that has a bit of a classic cartoon feel, mixed with an anime style. What I'd really like to capture is the style and feel of classic, 8-bit video games. That said, I'm open to other interpretations/styles. You should also be willing and excited to draw a fantastical world populated by crazy creatures and monsters. Again, think classic 8-bit video game worlds a la Super Mario Brothers, Mega Man etc.

I will be happy to share in depth details about the project if you're interested, including the finished script for the first volume, so you can decide if you're excited/interested. Again, I'm looking for someone who's willing to work as hard as I am (for little to no pay at first) to break into the field. Someone passionate about the concept and excited about collaborating.

Let me reiterate that I know this is a tall order, and that if you already have a little professional experience in the industry, you'll scoff at the idea of no pay, but we all have to start somewhere and it's no easy feat, as you probably know. But for the right person, this can be an exciting opportunity for creative collaboration and just possibly, the chance to break into the business.

Length of Internship:

We are a high-end contemporary women�s showroom in DT Los Angeles looking for motivated, assertive, and hard working interns. The position requires someone to be very detailed oriented, a great multi-tasker, and a fantastic communicator.
The position will require filing, data entry, extensive research, and general office duties. You will be able to participate in events pertaining to the fashion industry: i.e.; trade shows, market, going on the road and communicating with buyers from all types of stores. You will be working one on one with the owner of the showroom, so please only serious applicants.

We treat our intern positions seriously, serious interns only please. The intern commitment is a 4 month commitment for 15 hour per week, or 2 days a week.
