Here's what we've got:

We have connections that we want to put to use. We have an album of music written that needs vocals. We are a tight and solid band and all members have extensive touring experience. Band members have shared the stage with bands such as Bad Religion, Yellow Card, Death By Stereo, The Start, Nikka Costa, Dashboard Confessional, Dee Dee Ramone, Ignite, The Motels, J.R Richards (from Dishwalla) and Ashua. The influences we drew upon while writing this album are Jimmy Eat World, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Deathcab for Cutie, Thrice and Green Day.

Here's what we are looking for:

Male or female singer that can write and sing great catchy melody and be able to sing in the current higher vocal range that most singers these days sing in. If you are familiar with the term "the mix range" this is what we are talking about. Must be able to sing harmonies and write/sing counter melodies. If you can come to our studio in Santa Cruz to record vocals, great! If not, you must be able to record your vocals and send them to us. You must be able to tour. You must be able to be a front person, meaning you have to want to put on a great performance and be able to talk with the audience a bit.

We have posted 5 songs without vocals on our myspace page for you to listen to. *These songs are not mixed yet and will only be up for a few days.

At the moment we have no Gigs pending but I do have connects & will be looking for gigs as soon as we think you are ready, we are 2 guitar, bass & vocals just need a DRUMMER to step up to the plate. We usually gig in Santa Fe Springs Area, but will be looking for 24hr lockout as soon as we start booking some paying gigs, so yeah we're looking for a band member not a part time or weekend warrior, usually I dont mind ages but for now I think I will stick to 20 & 37, just becasue usually older affect the family life & younger cant get in on the gigs, just want people that can show up to gig, party&/or socialize & not have to go home cause they have a ride or have to be home or pressured cause they work the next day, we all have to go to work, you will gig anywhere from 2 to 5x a month, most will be weekends but some will be during the week but not always, so it shouldnt affect your work schedule. I have over 20 years experience as an "old school" engineer and a producer. I play guitar as well and after playing for 30 something years I have accumulated an amazing vintage guitar and amp collection which are all available for your project to get a wide variety off authentic vintage tones. If you're thinking it doesn't matter I'm probably not a great fit for your project, however, if you're looking at the list of guitars and amps and drooling a little and thinking to yourself damn, he probably costs too much, well,,,, I don't! hey there drummer,

we're a prolific, focused pop band in need of a a drummer who likes to play the songs solidly and the same way and at the same tempo each time. we need a drummer with the basic level of discipline and confidence needed for a consistent pop band to sound great.

we have a couple different sets. a kids set of new wave / acoustic songs about animals which is a fun set to play -- and sometimes paid too! we have a set of songs about honeybees (not on the myspace yet) which are a little early talking heads / B52's. and we have a set of breeders/pixies-style songs (on myspace i just posted "retro scents" and "here comes there goes another feelin'" from this not-yet-released album.) and there are a few songs we like to play about highland park, such as "trash day," "highland park," and "figueroa street."

depending on the set we are playing, we are 1 or 2 guitars, bass, accordion, theremin, male and female vocals. and drums!!!

we're in highland park. this might not be a big time commitment if you can nail the songs down with a little study. we're not a jam band -- so if you are focused and solid, we don't need to rehearse constantly. my favorite drummer right now is a hired gun, with whom we have only rehearsed once. and then we rocked the eagle rock music festival and a few other excellent shows. however -- we are looking for a "band member" not a hired dude! we will split live income equally and divide the BMI pie fairly too.
