I'm looking for R&B singers for reference work. I need singers that can sing and ride a beat like Aaliyah and or current singers on the radio (Beyonce, Ashanti, Fergie, Usher, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Justin Timberlake, Musiq Soulchild, etc).
Singers who have had some level of voice training (that have range and are not pitchy)are required since this studio session will be paid.

My approach is to help you articulate guitar accompaniment as simply & beautifully as possible, regardless of genre; in order to present your original songs live and/or recorded. Some covers are also considered as templates for the study of harmony, arrangement, and technique. Each student has final cut on their material.
My teaching style focuses on enhancing & informing your intuitive process. Theory is presented in small increments and applied immediately to works in progress that are being analyzed. A good goal, imho, would be to:
^ Play clean chords which traditional & original voicings.
^ Move chord changes with complete control & fluidity.
^ Create 4-6 right-hand techniques such as: strumming, arpeggios, pluck strokes, double stops,
dampening, tapping, and various classically considered fingerstyle techniques.
^ Learn to play on the guitar, the melodies that you are hearing & singing, in order to connect what you hear, to the ends of your fingers, as well as the fingerboard.
^ Express confidence, learn how to relax, and authenticate what you as a writer are stewarding through you.

To that end we will record the songs in my reasonably well-equipped home studio. If necessary, we will hire session players to fill out the sound and ultimately secure representation to get the material in the hands of the “right” people in either publishing or record companies.
In my own experience I have lost several potentially lucrative opportunities due to “band egos” and “band politics,” and therefore want to keep the “creative core” of this project as small as possible…i.e. initially, just me and a partner singer/songwriter, so this will not be a performing group until the “project” is much more developed or unless someone “serious” is interested in seeing a showcase.

The guitarist we are looking for should have a wide
aray of influences, however we are looking for a
guitar sound in the likes of: Quicksand, Janes
Addiction, Jimmy Eat World, Deftones, Faith No More,
The Faint. We are looking for a guitarist capable of
playing heavy riff driven music as well as soft clean
tones.
Personality wise, we are looking for a mature
individual, who does not use hard drugs, is productive
and driven. The guitarist must have a desire to
rehearse, record and put on a high energy live show.
i want to connect with someone musical, that can hold steady time, a groove and who wants to try something for fun. no gigs, no $'s, no flash or egos. someone mature, with experience, professionalism and talent, subtle approach. for the simple pleasure of making music. maybe adding more pieces down the road.
