I have six beautiful shih tzu puppies. They are not purebred but look just like their mommy who is. Two males and four females. All of them are black with white. Some have more or less white than others but they are beautiful just the same. There is no shipping for these cute little guys so only contact if you are able to pick up. A pet is a big responsability so make sure to look up the price for their current food: BLUE puppy food. They weigh less than 5 lbs and are seven weeks old. They will be ready by 7/18 with all their shots.

They were a wonderful "accident" so I can't keep all of them. Really wish I could.

I sold this guy a cage (cost me 22$) with 2 pet mice, and even included some food and a transportation cage for $10.

2 days later he posts an ad on craigslist selling the exact same items I sold him, but without the mice! He is asking 15 dollars for the cage (he paid 10) and claims he paid $40!!!

The idiot doesnt even take a new photo to upload. I have included his post and the picture I had sent him. He could have at least been honest and said he wanted just the cage, one of the mice was going to be a feeder anyway. He made me go out of my way, drive to his house, and even brought him mouse food and a blue transportation cage, which I could have donated to a shelter or used for my pet hamster! Point is do not trust anybody on craigslist so easily, and don't ask for too little money! Scam artists will turn around and try to seel what you gave them for more money!!!!

I have 2 three yr. old pitt bulls. They are brothers and have never been apart. They have never been fought so I would need some kind of proof you will not use them for fighting. I love these dogs like my children but I simply can't have them in my new place of living. The dogs have never shown aggression towards people or children but I must admit these dogs have only known family members they have not been really socialized since the move. These dogs do not like other dogs or animals but I am sure with the proper care and attention this can be dealt with.
AGAIN!!!!!These dogs are full grown the biggest weighs at least 100 pounds smaller1 about 70-80 lbs.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Both Dogs are well trained(sit, beg, bark on the command , down, jump, hand shake, crawl) Food can be taken from them while they eat and held in front of them and they will not eat it until you give the okay. Like I said b4 these are like my children, I have put alot of time into making them friendly with people... I feel bad that they do not have the room to run and be normal dogs....But if you can convince me that you will provide a loving and caring home for them I will gladly give them to you free of charge....

Today I rescued - with the help of 3 LAPD officers - 6 kittens from a gutter in Los Angeles. They are beautiful ... 5 boys and 1 girl (3-4 wks old) and am looking for someone with the heart and the capacity to love and rehome them.

I am bottle feeding them, have de-flea'd them and am contacting rescue homes, as well as, reaching out to anyone who can provide them with a better life than being killed in a shelter or mistreated

I have two adult cats of my own so cannot add them to my family but am looking to re-home them in the Los Angeles Area.

I am attaching images of them. They are playful, gaining strength and just need some TLC to brighten up their life and your home. PLEASE HELP !!!! Also if anyone can offer any advice on a humane shelter that could re-home or re-house them I would appreciate it. THANK YOU!!

Please let me understand this. You "rescued" this dog and you cannot afford to pay to have the dog groomed and spayed? Perhaps the vet you are taking her to is trying to rip you off. Spaying and grooming is not that expensive. If you cannot afford this, what are you going to do if/when the dog gets sick and needs surgery or how are you going to get this dog groomed on a regular basis...or feed her the kind of food she needs to eat?

As a guardian of two Maltese, they are not low maintenance dogs. They need to eat premium food, as their skin is very sensitive and they need regular grooming. To spay her and get her groomed shouldn't cost you much more than $100...so if you need to ask for donations, perhaps this is the wrong dog for you? Please, PLEASE give this dog to someone who can properly care for her.

I say this with all due respect...please don't take on more than you can handle.

This is a great family dog!!! He is good with our kids. Unfortunately we can't keep him because we are rarely home due to our commute. We also have a very small backyard. This dog would love a large backyard to run around in grass. He loves to play fetch, lay in the grass and run through the sprinklers (one of his favorite games). She was last seen at Reservoir and McCollum. I have received phone calls from the area all the way to West Silverlake. She is a medium haired Calico cat that is mostly white. She has dark brown and orange spots on her face, down her back, and on her tail. She is thin and only looks big sometimes because she is fluffy. Her fluffy tail and pretty eyes are her most noticeable features. She has a condition and needs medication. If anybody can return her to me, I will give them $200. This baby came to us as a foster puppy at the age of 6 weeks and is
through his first stage of obedience training. Lovable and energetic, he
is housebroken and crate trained and needs a loving and attentive forever

He is highly socialized and behaves well with children, other dogs (small
breeds included) and cats, and has a very sweet disposition. He knows his
basic commands and his forever home must agree to continue his obedience
training as this is extremely important for a large breed dog.

Home check and application required, along with a modest adoption fee.
Applicant must be able to provide the puppy with lots of love and
attention and exercise and guarantee that his new home will be forever.
This is not an apartment dog and he will require several daily walks and

My Boyfriend and i rescued this handsome boy from the North central animal shelter in L.A. about 3 weeks ago. He is about 1 1/2 years young and 17llbs, neutered, vaccinated & micro chipped. I will give you all the records i have for him. The named him spunky at the shelter but he did not know the name. We have not giving him a name either, we say come here boy and good boy no boy....

He was at the shelter for 2 whole months!! he was red listed for a month, its a miracle he lasted there that long. We feel in love with him and just had to save him. When we brought him home, he had spots all over him (it was suspected to be ring worm) we have him on the anti fungal meds just in case but it was never confirmed as the tests all came back neg. We think it was from lack of nutrients in his body. Within 2 days you could see him patches starting to grow hair and he was also starting to grow whiskers. He had a UTI and is finishing the meds for that still. We also got him neutered (the shelter gave me a deferral). He has a broken leg that looks to be at least a year old and it healed itself. It did not heal like a normal leg but he is not limited at all. It is more painful for you to look at then it is for him. He runs all day long he slides on the hardwood floor jumps like a jumping bean. He has no limits! We were going to have it removed because we thought it was painful but we came to notice its not. We had xrays and the vet agrees there is no need to remove it. We decided since he was not going to be our dog to keep that the new owner would be able to make that decision for him.

The local vet will give you the xrays as well as speak with the new owner over the phone and explain everything to you or he will even see you in person free of charge. He gets alone with our dogs but we think he should probably be a only dog. He need lots of attention!!! He loves to cuddle and play, he is full of energy!!! he has put a dent in our collection of dog toys here (we have thrown about 8 toys away) he is good at killing them. He loves to play fetch and be with people. He seems very smart but needs to be trained.

We do not have kids but we have been messing with him and he has yet to snap at us. the pics are to big to post more so email and i will send you more, i have lots more!!!! I have spent almost $500 out of pocket on him and am only asking for a $100 rehoming fee to cover the cost i paid the shelter.

I am Cassie Carganilla a foster with Cats At The Studios. I have an amazing 17 month old cat who is the sweetest thing ever. We started fostering her 4 days before she gave birth. She let us rub her huge belly and hold her kittens as soon as they came out which was a good thing since she kept sitting on them. She loves to talk and catnip! Also she will sleep between your legs all night and she is a heavy sleeper. She is the best first fostering experience we could have ever had and now it is time to find her a forever home.

She was rescued from an abandoned apartment complex with 17 other cats. She is up to date with all vaccinations and she has been spayed and dewormed. Adoption fee is $100.

They were rescued along with their other brother and sister from a senior citizen complex. Flame has a little brown behind her head and she is also bigger than Icy. They sleep and play together all of the time! Flame is a purr bucket and Icy loves to play bite and tell you that she is the boss!

These guys will be at the Woodland Hills Petco on Sunday July 12th from 12pm to 4pm. All of their vaccinations, deworming, and spaying in complete. They are ready for new homes. Adoption fee is $125 each.

All of you breeders/sellers on craigslist should not only be flagged (and I hope the good people on craigslist will continue to do so with blind fury), but you should be made to work in
the "back" of an animal shelter for just one day. Maybe if you saw the life drain from a few sad, lost, confused eyes, you would change your mind about breeding and selling to people you don't even know that puppy you just sold will most likely end up in my shelter when it's not a cute little puppy anymore.

So how would you feel if you knew that there's about a 90% chance that dog will never walk out of the shelter it is going to be dumped at?

Purebred or not! About 50% of all of the dogs that are "owner surrenders" or "strays", that come into my shelter are purebred dogs. The most common excuses I hear are; "We are moving and we can't take our dog (or cat).

" Really?
Where are you moving too that doesn't allow pets? Or they say "The dog got bigger than we thought it would". How big did you think a German Shepherd would get? "We don't have time for her". Really? I work a 10-12 hour day and still have time for my 6 dogs! "She's tearing up our yard".

How about making her a part of your family? They always tell me "We just don't want to have to stress about finding a place for her we know she'll get adopted, she's a good
dog". Odds are your pet won't get adopted & how stressful do you think being in a shelter is? Well, let me tell you your pet has 72 hours to find a new family from the moment you drop it off sometimes a little longer if the shelter isn't full and your dog manages to stay completely healthy if it sniffles, it dies. Your pet will be confined to a small run/kennel in a room with about 25 other barking or crying animals.

It will have to relieve itself where it eats and
sleeps. It will be depressed and it will cry constantly for the family that abandoned it. If your pet is lucky, I will have enough volunteers in that day to take him/her for a walk. If I don't, your pet won't get any attention besides having a bowl of food slid under the kennel door and the waste sprayed out of its pen with a high-powered hose.

If your dog is big, black or any of the "Bully" breeds (pit bull, rottie, mastiff, etc) it was pretty much dead when you walked it through the front door. Those dogs just don't get adopted. If your dog doesn't get adopted within its 72 hours and the shelter is full, it will be destroyed. If the shelter isn't full and your dog is good enough, and of a desirable enough breed it may get a stay of execution not for long though. Most get very kennel protective after about a week and are destroyed for showing aggression even the sweetest dogs will turn in this environment.

If your pet makes it over all of those hurdles chances are it will get kennel cough or an upper respiratory infection and will be destroyed because shelters just don't have the funds to pay for even a $100 treatment.

Here's a little euthanasia 101 for those of you that have never witnessed a perfectly healthy, scared animal being "put-down". First, your pet will be taken from its kennel on a leash they always look like they think they are going for a walk happy, wagging their tails.

Until they get to "The Room", every one of them freaks out and puts on the brakes when we get to the door it must smell like death or they can feel the sad souls that are left in there, it's strange, but it
happens with every one of them. Your dog or cat will be restrained, held down by 1 or 2 vet techs depending on the size and how freaked out they are. Then a euthanasia tech or a vet will start the process they will find a vein in the front leg and inject a lethal dose of the "pink stuff".

Hopefully your pet doesn't panic from being restrained and jerk I've seen the needles tear out of a leg and been covered with the resulting blood and deafened by the yelps and
screams. They all don't just "go to sleep", sometimes spasm for a while, gasp for air and defecate on themselves. When it all ends, your pets corpse will be stacked like firewood in a large freezer in the back with all of the other animals that were killed waiting to be picked up like garbage.

What happens next? Cremated? Taken to the dump? Rendered into pet food? You'll never know and it probably won't even cross your mind it was just an animal and you
can always buy another one, right?

I hope that those of you that have read this are bawling your eyes out and can't get the pictures out of your head I do everyday on the way home from work. I hate my job, I hate that it exists & I hate that it will always be there unless you people make some changes and realize that the lives you are affecting go much farther than the pets you dump at a shelter. Between 9 and 11 MILLION animals die every year in shelters and only you can stop it. I do my best to save every life I can but rescues are always full, and there are more animals coming in everyday than there are homes.

My point to all of this DON'T BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER PETS DIE!

Hate me or flag me if you want to. The truth hurts and reality is what it is. I just hope I maybe changed one persons mind about breeding their dog, taking their loving pet to a shelter, or buying a dog. I hope that someone will walk into my shelter and say "I saw this thing on craIgslist and it made me want to adopt.

THAT WOULD MAKE IT WORTH IT.

Bella is a white Pit Bull. She was found tied to a tree in a park. Her rescuer took her to the pound, but they red-listed her almost immediately because of her breed and because she is deaf (which is the case with many white dogs), so she was brought to us. She is very gentle and loving, but is shy of other animals due to her hearing disability and would be best as the only dog.

BELLA WAS BORN DEAF, LIKE MANY WHITE DOGS, HER EARS AREN'T CROPPED, SHE WAS NEVER USED FOR FIGHTING!!!

Please consider giving Bella a forever home, she is gorgeous, and deserves a second chance! ( Photos and adoption info below )

Angeldogs Foundation has a Spay Clinic now going! They need your help, to spread the word that it's available. It's not free but they take vouchers.

Their website is http://www.angeldogsfoundation.org/ and the phone number is 888-504-spay, the cost according to their flyer is $90 for cats and $110 for any size dog, this also includes a rabies shot and a microchip, and the unincorporated areas of AV, can get vouchers for $50 and they also take most other vouchers, people can call and verifiy this information.

I talked to them today and they need to fill ALL OF THE SPOTS in order to keep this going and keep so many dogs/cats out of pounds and needless deaths. I'm asking that you pass this along !

People who report dog-fighting and cock-fighting rings to authorities will be eligible for $5,000 rewards from the Humane Society of the United States, officials announced Thursday.

Animal fighting rings are "relatively large and relatively undetected," said District Attorney Steve Cooley. "We need to have more sources of information willing to cooperate with law enforcement."

People can report cases of animal fighting or abuse by calling Los Angeles County's hotline at 2-1-1.

To show what can happen to dogs used in organized fights, authorities brought Red, a 5-year-old pit bull, to a Thursday morning news conference. Red was one of 11 dogs rescued from a fighting ring two months ago. She is underweight and bares scars from the fights, but officials said she has a sweet disposition.

Other dogs are abandoned or abused once they are done fighting, said Eric Sakach of the Humane Society.

"We've seen many cases where the dogs have flammable liquids splashed on them (and) set on fire. We've encountered dogs that have been thrown into cages and left to starve to death," Sakach said. "The mind of the person who is involved in this sort of activity is really reaching into some depths where people shouldn't go."

In addition to animal cruelty, animal fighting rings often involve drugs and violence, Cooley said
