I come on here to post shelter dogs and rescue dogs on a regular basis, and I noticed that this person is ALWAYS on here. Yet, she always accuses everyone else of always being on here. She talks to everyone in such a way that you can tell she thinks that everyone posting is the same person. She always says things like "You're on here 24/7 ! You're on here 24 / 7! Get a life! Get a life!" Yet SHE is the one who is always on here 24/7 and seemingly has no life. She doesn't understand that multiple people post on here - it's not just one person posting over and over. And she always has a response to EVERYTHING. She is always very combative and very angry in her posts. Anyway, my point is, that she needs to leave Craigslist alone, and let it be here so that animals can find homes, which is what it is intended for. This person is OBSESSED with Craigslist, and is always angrily responding to everything and everyone. It's clogging up Craigslist, and pusing legitimate posts off the page. If you read the text in the posts below, you can tell that this is all the same person posting. This person is always so angry and is always so insulting to everyone. She throws out insults like she's 15 years old. I truly hope she can find some happiness in her life, other than obsessing over craigslist.

Why would you be so mad if people do not want to give a home to your rescue? Why did you rescue an animal that you cannot keep in the first place? That was your choice and nobody forced you to. When you rescue an animal that becomes your responsibility. Don't make other people look bad if they do not want to take the responsibility from you.

What right do you have to force your animal, especially a pitbull, to other people�s throat? Who gave you the idea that somebody will take your dog? You are correct, there are people who do not have any animals, and that is their choice; some have large homes or can easily take another one. But what right do you have to impose on these people? Even the President cannot impose anything like that.

Are you rescuing animals then find home for them for an adoption fee (actually it is called selling)? If not, then stop bitching on Craigslist if nobody wants your dog.
With the tone of your ad, am sure people would rather go to a backyard breeder than deal with you. Am sure backyard breeders are a lot nicer dealing with people whether you buy from them or not.

I see that some of you don't have any animals and have large homes, or have a dog at home and could easily take on another one, but just shrug your shoulders or pretend to be helpless when in fact you know you could adopt this dog...it is disheartening that there are millions of dogs and cats in shelters, waiting-- pleading for homes, to be rescued out of their misery and someone is nice enough to rescue one of them...and what do you do? These frogs are in good health and love to stuff thier guts on crickets and mealworms.The small rehoming fee is only $8 each.i really would like to see them go to a good home TOGETHER so I'll give you all three for $15.(This is a good deal since they usually cost at least $10 for babies half the size of mine!) I can give you a 10 gal tank that needs a lid with green sand and a floating island for an additional fee (It'll be inexpensive!).I also have a filter that you just attach to an air pump that I will throw in.So basically, you'll be getting 3 fire bellies that are ready to mate, a tank w/ nice substrate, filter for about $35. I see that some of you don't have any animals and have large homes, or have a dog at home and could easily take on another one, but just shrug your shoulders or pretend to be helpless when in fact you know you could adopt this dog...it is disheartening that there are millions of dogs and cats in shelters, waiting-- pleading for homes, to be rescued out of their misery and someone is nice enough to rescue one of them...and what do you do? You walk on by, you pretend you can't help...it makes me sick. If there is ONE person reading this who can relate to what I'm saying and who can help this dog- a sweet, affectionate, loving, intelligent pit bull male, deserving of a home, I urge you to contact me. 1. Pepper - ID#A1064194 - is an adorable 6 month old Lab/Staffie mix! She is has been at the shelter for over 2 months and really needs a home. She is truely a shelter favorite because she is just so sweet and friendly! She LOVES to play with other dogs and has had many kennelmates - all who have gotten adopted. Its Pepper's turn now! She is really a great puppy with a happy, loving temperment. She loves to be near people, sit in their laps and she will follow us all around the play yard! She loves to play and although she will chase the ball she doesn't know to bring it back! Pepper is a great dog and really needs a home! Could it be with you??

2. Ashley - ID#A1073456 - is a totally cute 7 month old Staffie mix! OMG! ADORABLE and oh so sweet. My friend found her and her brother hanging out at the park he works at. He found a home for the brother and now its Ashley's turn. I promised him I would help find her a home and I have to say little Miss Ashley stole my heart. She is sooo friendly and a complete lovebug. She has an awesome temperment and responds so well to people. Ashley is just a baby so she had a great time running around the play yard, but really she just wanted to be around us. In our lap, by our side, giving us kisses. She is really smart and people orientated so she should be very easy to train. We think she is dog friendly because as we were walking to the play yard she wanted to stop and say hi to all the dogs in the kennel and even give some kisses. Please give this little girl a chance!!!

3. Toby - ID#A1075201 - is a beautiful year old Golden Ret mix. Holy cow, not only is this girl adorable she is so sweet too. The first thing she did when we brought her out of her kennel and climb in my lap. Oh my! She is very puppylike in her behavior and likes to run around but doesn't seem to interested in toys. Her previous owners did not train her so she needs to learn a little basic obedience. Toby is a lovely girl who just wants to be with people. She gives paw and will climb in your lap if you let her. She is a wonderfu girl and will make a great BFF.

4. Barney - IDA1072441 - is an adorable young Shep/Collie mix. Anyone want to play?? Barney sure does!!! He is such a fun, silly boy! Playing really is his game. He is listed at the shelter as 4 but he really is very puppyish. Toys are a fave and having a good time is what Barney is all about! He is also very friendly and loves all people he meets! Affectionate, loving, great temperment, dog friendly and fun! My gosh, everything you want in a dog! Barney sure would like to be spending his days playing with a family instead of being at the shelter. Please give him a chance!

Hi I found a turtle outside, he is about 12 inches long and 6 inches wide, the shell is flat, the upper side is greenish / greyish with a bit lighter and darker stripes, the bottom shell is smaller than the upper and the lower shell is yellowish, he has a light green stripe on both cheeks and feet and claws on front paws and also claw looking backfeet not sure they could be webbed. he is not eating (tryed selleri, cabbage and cat kibbles ) he is in our bathtub now. we can not keep him and I have know idea how to care for him ( temperature, water, food etc he seems friendly and is not so shy, but I dont know if he is a wild animal or a pet, maybe this guy wants to be let out by the river? or is it to cold? please give me a call and let me know what to do with him or if anyone wants to give him a home. thank you so much for responding,

My name's Art and we found a small kitten about 6-8 weeks old around the CostCo in Burbank, CA. He is very sweet and was wearing something around his neck when he was found. We had to cut the thing around his neck off because it was starting to chafe his hair and we don't want an infection. We also just bathed and fed him, so he's all clean and taken care of for now. We are looking for his owners because this little guy looks like he was very spoiled and we fear he may have accidentally gotten out a car at the store or ran out of someone's house. The time he was found was around 2:30 to 3:00PM on Tuesday, November 10th. As we were towel drying him, we noticed something peculiar, he likes suckling on clothes as if he misses his mother. There's got to be no way you don't want your kitten back. Please reply!

Rockee Balboa Needs Your Temporary Help (Woodland Hills)

Rockee is a sweet, four year old lab/pit mix that was adopted from our rescue while ago, who despite his heartbreaking story, is a happy and loving dog.
On two separate occasions he was left in long-term boarding by an owner who neglected to pay the bill or retrieve him from their care. His owner called us yesterday to inform us that she would be returning Rockee due to unfortunate circumstances (at no fault of his own) and that he was being boarded at a pet hotel where we could retrieve him. Upon calling them, we found out that Rockee had been in their care since May, living in a crate without a home of his own. When we visited him, we found that he was very friendly and the staff at the place where he is being boarded taught him to sit, roll over, and fetch.

Because we refuse to let him stay in boarding any longer, we are releasing a plea for a foster for Rockee, that can care for him until he finds his forever home. Our dog rescue is a non-profit organization that works off of a fostering system rather than using a facility. Using fosters allows us to find out more detailed traits about the dogs we are adopting out that we would not otherwise know, such as whether the dog is child/dog/cat/ friendly, leash trained, potty trained, and if he/she has any special needs. The job of a foster that works with our rescue is simple: they hold onto and care for the dog during the week until they are adopted out and bring them to our adoptions in Woodland Hills, every Sunday from 11-3.

Meet Ares, a black kitten with a white starburst at his throat. Our teensy rescue saved him from going to the shelter; since he was a couple of weeks old, we've been hand-raising this cutie pie. This disgustingly adorable, seven-week-old kitten is definitely what you might call "sugar and spice."

The sugar: As you can see in the pics below, Ares loves humans. He quite literally will spend hours playing and sleeping on people. For better or worse, he loves to nibble on earlobes and suckle on blankies. Let's be honest: Nothing says love and devotion like a teensy black kitten looking up at you from your chest with his huge, jade green eyes.

The spice: (This is what we get from naming him after the Greek god of war.) Ares is a biter. He doesn't discriminate; he bites everything. He rarely bites hard, but, like most hand-raised kittens, seems to have an oral fixation right now. We're hoping he'll grow out of it very soon but, if he's like the other kittens I've hand-raised, it'll take several months. In the meanwhile, he's so freakin' adorable and sweet, it's hard to be annoyed when he nibbles on your chin.

Now that Ares has a neutering appointment for next week, we can list him as adoptable, since he can go to his new home after his neuter surgery. We're asking for a $75 adoption fee, which will help us pay for his vaccination and neutering. Ex-stray, shy but sweet, young adult kitty needs loving home (Pasadena)

A few months ago, my husband trapped the beautiful black stray below, whom we have named Mushie, in order to get him neutered. After his sterilization appointment, we decided to keep him indoors for a while. He acted feral at first and we thought he was, but he's been *very* receptive to being socialized and now adores my husband. He's shy and skittish around strange people but after a while, he warms up and becomes a sweetheart. My husband and I think it would be irresponsible to release him back to the streets, since he no longer acts feral around people he knows. In fact, just today my husband held Mushie until his (my hubby's) arms got tired; after that, he passed him on to me, and Mushie was content to be held until my arms gave out, too.

Mushie is a young little guy -- probably just over a year old, according to FixNation. He just had surgery after having a recurring urinary tract infection (common in male kitties); the vet says Mushie is very healthy and happy now. Also, he has the most beautiful white hairs poking up among his solid black coat. He also loves playing with toys and meows while carting them from room to room.

In short, we rescued this cutie pie from the streets. He's still skittish but is a sweetheart and wants a chance to be someone's special boy. If you're interested in adopting him, please contact me via email. The adoption fee is $50, which will include his vaccinations and microchipping.

Last year, I helped a friend out and took on her orange, twelve year old cat, Sam, as she was relocating. My lifestyle, unfortunately is no longer conducive to Sam's happiness, because I am barely ever around.

He is a little shy, but incredibly lovable, loving and low maintenance. His favorite activity is snuggling. He can sit on the sofa with you for hours...

He sheds a little, but a good brushing every so often will curb that. He grew up with another cat, so he's friendly with others, but for the most part he keeps to himself. He comes with a litter box, a nice wicker litter box crate, carrying case, bowls and brush.

Meet Annabelle!

Annabelle was rescued from the Baldwin Park shelter, where she had been at the shelter October 21st. She was sprung by our rescue group, Animal Advocates Alliance, and is now in a safe and happy foster home and looking for her forever home.

Annabelle is a tiny little 1 year old mix, weighing only 5 pounds (she needs to gain a pound)! The vet thinks she is a Chihuahua mix (maybe with Papillion), but we aren't sure what she's mixed with since she doesn't really act like a Chihuahua, she has the most amazing fluffy half up ears and she is brindle in color. She's got very long legs and so when she walks she looks like she's prancing.

She is a complete love-bug and wants to sit with or cuddle with her foster parents. If the person she's cuddling with gets up she'll just move over to the other person and cuddle with them! She is still a little timid, but is now showing her foster parents a great, fun, playful side. She loves toys and will stealthily take them from the other dogs in the house. She walks really well on a leash and loves to go explore the world with you. If sitting in a bag or purse she will stick her little head out and look at everything. She loves to be in the bag!She is pee pad trained and learning to go outside as well. She never barks or makes any noises, she just studies things. She sleeps completely through the night and is just the best little dog all around.

Annabelle has been spayed, is up to date on shots, and has a microchip. She has been dewormed, given flea medication, and been given medication to get over kennel cough. She is healthy and happy and ready for the next stage in her life. Her adoption fee is $200 and she will come with a red collar and leash, a pink harness and leash, dog food, treats and a favorite toy or two. Our tiny rescue recently saved this beautiful, gentle, sweet girl, whom we named Georgia Peach, from a hoarding situation. Now, we're looking to find her a forever home. It may be difficult to tell from the pictures, but this cutie pie is actually quite small for a Golden Mix; she weighs maybe 40 pounds. My rescue partner thinks Georgia is mixed with a Sheltie. We estimate Georgia is about 10 years old.

This sweet senior couldn't be cuter - plus she's great with other dogs! Surprisingly, given her gentleness and overall sweetness, Georgia is a very protective dog. She barks at "intruders" and protects the house and her human, bless her heart. Could she be more adorable?

Cutie pooch (El Segundo)

So I found this doggy last week running back and forth across the street in El Segundo, on Main and Grand, and no one has claimed him so far :( Hes in a foster home right now, so hes safe and happy but unfortunately that can't be his forever home. So, I've come to the conclusion he was dumped! (animal control told me this city has had a really bad problem with irresponsible people dumping there dogs). Poor little guy was extremely dirty. matted fur, no chip, no collar, not neutered, and looked terrified (he cowers A LOT so I assume whoever had him before wasn't very nice to him). So now this little guy needs a really good home, someone that won't abandon him at any point, and someone that would be willing to work with him and socialize him so hes not such a scardy cat. Hes bad at taking walks, I don't think he was regularly taken out, I tried walking him and he just did not understand what was going on. He gets along with other dogs, not cats though. And it would probably be best if he had some poochie company. He has a bad tendency to jet whenever a door is open, that makes me think hes a good escape artist (so a chip would be a very useful thing with this little guy). The lady taking care of him now and I are both looking into getting him neutered (I'm very broke though so unless I find one for a decent amount of moolah I can't :( ), but he needs to be neutered! that might also help stop the running away whenever he gets the chance. I can only assume he hasn't had his shots. Hes bathed and clean now and looks very handsome. Hes white/off white with an orange back, and very very cute. I called him scruff (mcgruff! :)) and seymour (from futurama since he looks like fry's old dog) when I had him but he didn't respond to either name, so whoever wants to help this guy can figure out a new name. This is Mead. She's a year-old, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated darling. She's also one of the sweetest and most beautiful kitties you'll ever meet. We rescued her and *many* others from a hoarding situation. All of us fell in love with her long, intellectual, and expressive face. Among over 100 cats we rescued, Mead was one of the very whom we personally fostered. In fact, a couple of us fought over her. ;)

Because she is an ex-semi-feral kitty, Mead takes a while to warm up to people. She won't hop into anyone's lap on the first day. With patience and love, though, we've seen this beautiful girl become a loving, happy, hand-bumping sweetheart.

Mead is what we call a torbie (tortoiseshell + tabby). We just took her in for a physical exam, and the vet was impressed with how healthy and sweet she is. She's a healthy nine pounds and was just de-fleaed.

People pass him by because there are so many others to look at. Even though he is unusual looking and so desperate for love! Now the pound wants to kill him, and they don't even seem to be allowing prospective adopters to place a hold onh im to keep him safe for 24 hours!

He is only 4 years old and very calm. He looks like a hound/staffie mix.
His behavior reminds me of a staffie I just rescued from this pound. My dog was very shy and a little scared when he got out of the pound. Now he cant stop hugging me and staring at me with gratitude!

Once you get him out of his horrid icy cold cage, he will shower you with kisses and affection!!!
