Full Charge Bookkeeper position available at active and growing insurance agency. Full time position open at independent insurance agency located in Glendale area. Position is 75% bookkeeping and 25% general administrative duties, including HR.
Job Requirements:
Required minimum 10 years experience and at least 6 years at an independent insurance agency.
Required minimum 5 years experience using Applied or AMS accounting / agency management system.
Graduate of Technical School or AA in Bookkeeping a plus.
10 key by touch required.
Insurance Agency Trust Accounting Experience Required.
Advanced Excel skills required.
Ability to download accounting information from agency management system to excel helpful.
Job Description:
Responsible for receivables, general payables, insurance company payables, reconcile bank statements, closing month end / year end, deposits, etc.
Agency management system Applied / current version 10.3
25% of duties related to general administrative and HR.
Electronic filing will be implemented in 2010.
