PHOTOGRAPHY CLASS FOR ADVANCED BEGINNERS STARTS TUESDAY 7/22/08 AT LA VALLEY COLLEGE (COMMUNITY EDUCATION)
The class meets 5 Tuesday evenings and one day on a weekend for a group photo shooting session (this may be a trip to The Getty Center.)
This Intermediate Photo class helps you feel more comfortable using your
camera and emphasizes creativity and photo composition. How can you apply what you know about using your camera, to subjects you care about and want to shoot creatively?
There are many ways to improve photos!
This class is an opportunity to practice fundamental
photo skills and learn how to use them to make photos
with strong visual impact -- beyond snapshots.
Some of what is covered in the Intermediate Photo
class:
lighting, camera angle, lens choice, filters & white
balance, exposure, isolating subject from background,
using flash indoors and outdoors, composition &
visual perception.
(If using an SLR camera it is expected that you understand f-stops & shutter speeds and that you know how to use the light meter -- even if you still need practice!)
