Califone International, a division of School Specialty, Inc. is a leading supplier of electronics to education is seeking a customer service representative to join our staff. Responsibilities will include:
Day to day interface with customer, dealers and their sales reps, field sales personnel, and distributors. Researching the status of customer orders, returns, failure analysis, providing information on possible product problems. Resolve production, shipping and scheduling issues. Issue return authorizations when appropriate.
Responsible for interfacing with customers prior to and after sales. Develops and maintains positive customer relations and coordinates with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner. This position has authority to substantially affect the relationship between the company and a customer, either from a financial standpoint or product standpoint.
In addition:
• Receives and processes phone, fax, e-mail and/or mail orders.
• Ability to communicate effectively internally as well as externally with customers.
• Reviews and verifies phone, fax, e-mail and/or mail order accuracy.
• Compiles and distributes orders.
• Verifies data and order information accuracy.
• Identifies special order instructions.
• Handle customer issues with returns, billing questions, order discrepancies, and shipment status
• Field customer calls and route to appropriate department
• Reviews discrepancies in data and reviews with appropriate Customer
Care team member/Supervisor and provides necessary follow-up.
• Must have a proactive work ethic. We want someone who continually looks for ways to improve business processes and is not afraid to do more.
• Experience in customer service in a manufacturing and distribution company highly desirable
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• BA or AA degree.
• Minimum two years data entry and/or keyboarding experience; 2 years of Customer Service experience.
• Ability to key large volumes of alpha/numeric data accurately.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve discrepancies.
• Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
