We are currently searching for a POS/IT Coordinator in our Corporate Office.
This position will perform a variety of restaurant-related computer operations. (Daily interaction with restaurant personnel requires previous restaurant operations experience). Respond to support calls and assist with projects. Position could be 25-50% travel (within Southern California and throughout the country).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor, support, and configure POS software as directed by POS Manager
Troubleshoot and manage POS hardware issues
Train operations personnel on POS procedures
Oversee installation and configuration of POS systems at new locations
Assist with POS upgrades
Will be assigned other IT- and network-related tasks as necessary. Training on such procedures will be provided.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Understanding of and experience in restaurant/club operations a MUST
- Operational experience with restaurant POS system(s); Micros RES experience a
plus, but not required
- Basic knowledge of and familiarity with standard Windows-based PCs and
network structures
- Ability to initialize and operate computer hardware and software systems
- Ability to work with staff on various levels.
- Strong oral and written interpersonal and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or comparable information technology/POS
experience
