I interviewed with a family a couple months ago and realized we just didnt click. First of all they called my other job without asking me if it was ok. They also told me they would need to meet my boyfriend (whom I told them would never be in the picture). They also called another family I worked for (which I gave them permission) and asked her personal questions about me, not relevant questions about my skills as a nanny. All of these things made me realize they were not the family for me and I would not be happy working for them. Im sure all of this would be fine with someone else, but not me. This family is now telling other families not to hire me (which I find very unfair). I wish parents wouldnt take things so personal when someone doesnt choose to accept a job and work for you and if someone has only met me two times, you really have no idea if I am realiable or not. There is nothing wrong with not clicking with someone. I actually think its better for everyone if we all realized that and didnt take it personally. Thank you.

For the past few months I have been trying out new families who live near me that want their child cared for like mom/dad would care for them. It looks like some have found me. My schedule is crazy, but fun! Since I work for myself there is nobody that can say you can only work certain hours or certain days.
Being a mom myself, childcare can be a scary thing. How do you know who is really watching your children? If you are lucky enough to live near the area I live and work in, we should talk. What I do is help parents that are really in need of help. Mom may just need some time to charge her batteries or dad really needs to take mom on a date.

All my interviews are done at Beeman Park in Studio City. In order to meet me, you must have an infant or toddler that loves to play, interact, do fun projects, visit museums, libraries, parks, the zoo and most of all they must enjoy having fun! The reason for interviewing at the park is it lets you observe all the nannies around as well as observing me. You can watch your child playing and decide if we are a match. We interview each other to see how we play together. If it works GREAT! If not, what have you wasted other than time with your child at the park? I think not!

I am going to offer ONLY ONE family a rate of $250 for up to 20 hours per week. That comes out to $12.50 per hour, you must be willing to be flexible with other moms at the same time. We all help each other in this economy. I only have one other mom I offer this to. Otherwise, by the hour I have lowered it to $15 per hour. You must book at least 4 hours to get these rates.

If you want a park bench warmer I can't help you.If you are looking for a kid, not me either! However, if you are looking for a professional Trustline registered/Social Service approved/CPR/First-Aid certified/taken the oath to provide safe/loving/fun care International Nanny Association/ that has eyes all over her head; that would be me (as well as a grandmother).

Right now these are the times I have open generally. These times belong to four mothers that I have been working with for years. Some of the kids are getting older and heading to Preschool, so I may only have their sibling.

Our 19 year old has special needs - we also have a 12 year old girl. Our two older boys would help with our son. Looking for someone to sit while we go out for a weekend evening or afternoon a few times a month. Fun environment. Overnight also a possibility very infrequently.

Hi, I'm 23 years old live in La Crescenta and have a beautiful 2 year old child of my own. I absolutely love kids and having my own has taught me very much about them. I've been happily married for 3 years and my husband has an online basically stay at home business that way I would not have to bring my child with me. I would love to help out with your kids and I could also help keep your house neat and tidy. I have almost 4 years of experience, and several child development units, I have always grown up being around children.

Another idea would be....coming to my place for day care. I have a couple 2-3 year olds I watch at my own home, which works out great for those moms. I live in house with everything child proof, its a great area, and what helps a lot is my nice front yard with a gated locked fence. There are also lots of toys, cars, tables to color paint, basketball, soccer goals, hot wheels, kitty pool, golf sets, easels, books, car race tracks, etc...If you are looking at paying a little less and that works out for you, we could figure something out that way. I have a clean driving record and know my way around town. I've grown up in La Crescenta and love the area. I can tell you more about me and we could arrange to meet.

Childcare for delightful and positive 9 year old is needed 5 mornings per week 7:00-8:00 and ride to nearby school. On two or three evenings (M,W and one other night per week) you pick her up at school and watch her until 9 or 11 pm. In exchange you have a charming but small studio apartment with its own entrance in a country-like setting. Utilities except phone are included which also include cable TV and sharing washer/dryer. Mom is a professor so you are off during holidays and summer but continue to be paid $250 per month with an additional $100 dollars per month for gas when you are driving her. It is a great job for a student or someone who loves kids.
