Will refer court-referred volunteers (CRV(s)) to participating non-profit organizations throughout the greater Los Angeles area, where they must perform court-ordered work assignments. The referral specialist may be assigned to different Court Referral offices as needed within our 12 office region throughout LA County. This position is also responsible for maintaining a positive working relationship with other Court Referral Community Specialist staffs, Court personnel, and outside contacts.

Reports to: Court Referral Specialist Regional Manager

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Interviews Court Referred Volunteers and maintains control of interview process.
2. Ensures CRV referrals are consistent with court orders.
3. Maintains accurate CRCS information in client files.
4. Performs daily inspections of own CRCS intake work.
5. Maintains confidentiality of CRCS staffs and client records.
6. Treats all clients equally and with dignity and respect.
7. Reconciles client intake fees collected and transaction records.
8. Maintains business attire suitable for Court environment.
9. Answers phones and performs various clerical duties.
10. Attends CRCS meetings as required
11. Provides coverage in various satellite office locations
12. Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

1. Clerical/office experience.
2. Must be familiar with assigned service area.
3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multi-task environment.
4. Cash-handling experience in service-oriented environment an asset.

Qualifications:

1. Enthusiastic team player.
2. Two years of college or equivalent in office experience.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Word and familiar programs.
4. Solid inter-personal communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently.
6. Bilingual (English/Spanish) an asset.
7. Pre-Employment background check including finger printing and drug testing mandatory.
