Hi! We have this beautiful jindo/shiba inu female mix who needs a good and loving home. We live in Woodland Hills, California and we need someone who can walk her everyday and who has a big yard (fenced in) where she can run and play.
Ideally, I want someone who lives on a ranch who might need help protecting the yard. She is an excellent watch/guard dog! She is a jindo, so she loves her freedom and independence! If you meet her though, she is calm in the house and around children.
About the dog: She is about 10 years old, but acts like a pup!
She's about 30 pounds, she's a medium size.
She loves to run and play.
She's beautiful!!! She has long "deer like" legs and a reddish/brown fur short coat. She keeps it clean just like a cat!
She looks just like a fox-people might mistake her for one, so please make sure she always has a collar on!
Fully updated on shots, she's very healthy (like I said, she likes to run). She's also fixed.
Also, she is very much housetrained. Have never had a problem with her going to the bathroom anywhere but outside. She will also not sit on the sofa or bed (unless invited). She's a good doggie, but if you know about jindos, they have a will all their own. Once free, she will try her best not to be snatched up again.
We always get compliments on our jindo with her shiba face. People tell us that she looks like a fox on leash.
Our house just isn't big enough for this outdoor loving, mice hunting dog!
She's not used to other dogs, so she will chase them and "play".
We all love her like a member of our own family. I just feel that she will be happier in a better environment where she will have more freedom! We've had problems with her getting out and running around the neighborhood for hours. Just recently, she get off leash in a large parking lot and we had to wait it out and track her down. I think it's a sign she wants more freedom!
If you live in a big house with a BIG yard (no other pets), I think my dog will be happy with you and you with her. Just give her water and food, and plenty of space to run around and chase insects and frogs, and all will be happy! She is great to go walking with and offers your home much protection.
Please reply back if you feel you are a good match. We really need to make sure you can provide a happy home for her.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
I don't have a pic-yet-Sorry I'm on my work email, but we can meet or you can also look up jindo at http://www.getapuppy.ca/jindo.html. I can assure you she's beautiful.
