need advice on cat

HI I am posting this in the hopes that I can avoid having to cage my cat as I am running out of options. I have a cat who since kittenhood has had issues with the litterbox. She is now a lovely middle age of seven. For some reason she prefers carpet to her box and always has. We lost our deposit in our apartment for it. In our house it was this hallway, we since have put lamenent down.That stopped her for awhile. The problem is she has now taken to peeing in the nursery of our daughters room. My daughter will be crawling age soon and I can't have the cat peeing there.(this is not the cat not liking the baby-she just likes carpet and the nursery has it) Putting new floors down is not an option with our currant finances.I have tried putting a towel around the box, she just pulls the towel out and then goes on the towel. I love my cat dearly (as you can tell having dealt with this for seven years) however now with a baby my options are running out. My last resort is to buy one of those cat duplexes and lock her in there. PLease note ruining the carpet is not the issue, it is the health of my daughter that is the issue. Rehoming her is also not an option as we love the cat and also I could not give her to someone knowing she has this problem. PLease don't send me hate mail about my cat being thrown to the wolves for the baby.Unless you have had this problem or are willing to deal with cat piss and take a cat with litterbox problems, you don't know what it is like. I am looking and willing to try anything at this point.Thanks for any advice you can give.

I found the Humane Society de Tijuana. A non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to improving the community through the humane treatment of animals. Based out of San Diego, our programs focus on: Low cost or free spay and neuter clinics to control the overpopulation of unwanted animals which we conduct once a month in Tijuana, Mexico; Street Clinics in the poorest neighborhoods of Tijuana to treat animals for parasites, mange, infections, fleas and ticks which we conduct twice a month; Rescues and helping individuals who rescue street animals; Arranging of adoptions of rescued street animals; Public education programs; and Campaigning for reforms at the city dog pound and working to find alternatives to using electrocution at the city dog pound.

LILLY - Lilly is a beautiful blue-eyed, Blue Point Siamese Snowshoe, 2 yrs. She loves to be petted and purrs. She'd do best on her own or with one other cat. She so wants a home.

SEYMOUR - Handsome Orange & White Tabby 2 yrs. Loves people, purrs when you pet him. Intelligent/curious, likes to talk to you, be where you are. Best as only kitty. So needs a home.

ANNIE - Brown Tabby Girl - 4 yrs. - LOVES to be petted, purrs like crazy. Gentle soul. Wants home of her home. (not pictured, only rm for 4). So cute though.

NOTE: Someone flagged/deleted my posting about this man yesterday. It happens fast. I think it might be him. I'm with a 501c3 nonprofit and post on CL often. PLEASE FORWARD & CROSS-POST before the person deletes this again.

Gerald Gracian is on the prowl for animals. He's using the name "Pet Euphoria" or something like that as the name of his rescue. A woman recently contacted our rescue group asking if we could take in a stray mom & kittens, and then a few hours later told me that Gerald said he would take them. I confirmed it was the same guy & put the kaibosh on that, but this guy knows how to talk the talk & so long as people are willing to hand over animals without actually seeing where they are going, he's going to continue hoarding & abusing. ANIMAL ABUSE He embezzled animals from the shelter, killed cats without sedation, took over the sick bay ward for cats and filled it with his snakes so when we needed the room there wasn't any and cats got killed by him instead of getting well. He slapped puppies, killed dogs same day they came into the shelter because he didn't like the way they looked.

IN 2001:
"Gerald Gracian, 35, remains in jail in lieu of a $20,000 bail. His arraignment is set for today. Authorities said that police serving a search warrant at Gracian's house in North Hollywood found about 200 animals, including tortoises, ferrets, rabbits and chinchillas. They also found the bodies of over 20 dead animals and 90 percent of the dog yard covered in feces.

This is Duke, he is an American Staffordshire Terrier Pitbull Mix, he is neutered, approximately 5 years old. He has been micro-chipped. His ears and tail have not been docked. He has a really great color pattern of Black and White. He is loving, loyal and affectionate. He is good with kids and other pets. He loves to play. He spends most of the day outside in the yard unless it is too hot or too cold, and he sleeps inside in his own bed. He needs a new home where he will get lots and lots of love and attention. NO flakes, scammers, weirdos. This dog is a pet not a security dog, not a fighting dog, not a breeding dog, he needs a great family or single person that is willing to commit to him and make him part of the family. My cat had a URI a few times, and each time the stuffy nose lingered for many weeks after it was healed.
My vet recommended "Little Noses". It's a nasal dropper for kids. You can find it at any drug store. Of course you will have to hold down your cat and practically force it in her nose, but it will work.

I'm sure this sounds odd but I am in dire need of a photograph of a pig's ass for a contemporary art project I am working on. I am an animal friendly guy and would definitely ensure that your animal would be treated with the utmost courtesy and care. There would be minimal set up involved (maybe a few lights if shooting indoors), the professional photographer that will be assisting me is experienced in shooting in a variety of conditions. Expert Aggression Anger and Bite Control Behaviorist Trainer (LA/Valley)

I deal with, and specialize in exposure therapy for dogs and "real life" situational behavior modification. I am not a dog trainer in any sense of the word. If you want your dog to sit, stay, roll over, speak, and other behaviors of that nature there are plenty of great trainers out there suited just for that.
I specialize in two things, and am an expert in both dog on dog aggression, and dog to human aggression. Although they seem very similar, they are very different and dealt with with completely different techniques.
Dogs love to please, they have been breed down and domesticated from wild animals to do so. And are now breed as companion pets. But, there are inherent characteristics in their nature that will reveal themselves sometimes after many years and sometimes with no warning.
I deal with these more specific problem of certain breeds that have a predisposition to revert back to and display the traits for which they were originally breed for. These are the Bully Breeds. tenacious breeds, the fighters and guardians. Basically the "designer LA dogs" that get all the bad press on the news because of inexperienced owners buying these dogs mainly for status, looks, head size, and just for the sheer fact that they're beautiful. But these beautiful dogs are breed for a purpose, and if that purpose, and drive is not fulfilled and or curbed at an early age, you WILL get and aggressive dog. I can solve those problems.
My specialties include: anger management, breed profiling, personality assessment, 2nd dog introductions, dog to cat introductions, all types of dog and human aggression, and trigger detection, (what sets them off).
I have 15 years of experience specifically working only with these breeds. I have for 20 years experience as owning some of the worlds most notorious breeds known to dog lovers as the toughest dogs in the world. As far as I know, I had the first Dogo Argentino in Ca. and maybe only one of only a hand full in the states. I have had three Bordeaux's, a Fila, numerous American Bulldogs, and countless Pit Bulls. In 20 years I have never had a dog bite anyone, my dogs have never bit, killed or mauled another dog, and I have never been sued for any reason. Careful and precautious are understatements when I have possession of your dog. On top of that I have rescued, liberated,rehabilitated and placed thousands of these dogs from the shelters and the streets, where they now reside in their forever homes. This was very upsetting.

Today, in the valley, in front of the Beverly Garland at about 3:30 there was a man, rather unkempt and dirty, so not sure if he was homeless or just an eff-up, riding slowly down the sidewalk on a bicycle with a dog on a leash in each hand. As you can guess, he was having a hard time balancing and "walking" the dogs. He stopped right in front of me and started screaming at the bigger dog, a pitt I think, and was kicking her in the head. I stared screaming at the guy as did some people stopped at the traffic light. He ranted like a looney back at all of us. He then kept moving with the two dogs down the street.

My question is: who can I call?? Animal Services won't do a thing. The police won't even respond when your house is being broken into so they're useless here.

What could I do?? Based on the size and crazy attitude of the man, I could do no more that threaten to call the cops. I was by myself. And this guy was completely nutts. Nontheless, it was killing me not to do something. And we know that if this crazed phucker was beating the dog in public, he does it at home as well. (the beating didn't seem to faze the poor dog)

Does anyone have any suggestions in case I run into a crazy situation like this ever again?? Who could I call??

What is it with this city...
you report an injured animal & they don't get their for hours (racoon hit & left alive)or I reported an injured dog a couple of months ago...& they don't show up for 3 days (dog massively bleeding). On another incident a neighbor also contacted them about a neglected dog that had escaped (they could not catch it) & the animal shelter gave the dog back (this dog was underfed & had a healed broken bone..it healed crooked on it's own)_They claim they are understaffed...I have been there to adopt a dog & I have seen quite a few people....
My reason for writing this does anyone know who I should be writing too, or should I just try the city of santa clarita?.

Victoria and Francis are sisters & have never been apart. Their original owner bought them in Japan and gave them up after she moved to the U.S last year. They were adopted by a wonderful woman who loved them very much. Tragically, she has been diagnosed with advanced lymphoma. It�s a heart-breaking situation. She had to let them go to Kitten Rescue so that she could care for herself.

The girls are purebred Persians and were declawed as young cats. Both are incredibly loving and people-oriented. They adore to be petted and will purr & purr with happiness. Victoria has a soft, plush tortoiseshell coat. Her sister Francis is quite petite and has a fluffy, beautiful white coat.

Victoria and Francis have had rocky journey and need a forever home where they will be cherished and loved.

I was at the Burbank Animal Shelter yesterday. If you're looking for a new addition please check them out. They have some very sweet dogs. Ask to take them out and play with them. i need to rehome a leopard gecko that i cant take care of anymore becasue i have too many animals and theres too many i am asking a rehoming fee of 45 just for the leopard gecko the gecko cost me 55 and so its a great deal still small hes probaly 5 months at the most so i need to rehome him and all i want is for him to go to a good family i dont want him to go to some shelter or anything like that because first of all they dont really give it the attention it needs so thanks.

Blondie is a 2 1/2 year old female chihuahua who is fixed, up-to-date on shots and crate trained. She is a very playful and loving dog, but we do not give her the attention she deserves since our family has grown. Blondie is great with kids and even cats. She does not bark much at all, only to let you know when someone is approaching the door.

A $50 adoption fee includes crate, food bowls, puppy pads, food, collar and leash.

Baby is a 2 year old yellow lab and sharpei mix.... she was abandoned on the street... she is great with children and really affecionate... she is being fostered now and would love a wonderful family or great friend to adopt her.. she has been spaid and has all of her shots current....she is not good with cats and plays well with one dog... in a group she gets a little anxious...she is wonderful!!!

Joker is still at the East Valley Shelter in Van Nuys.... He is an older boy with lots of life left in him and he deserves a good loving home.
His family just dumped him off because he is going blind...(I have blind dogs...they do fine once they know the lay of the land...in my house and outside in the yard...they even use the doggy door).
