We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Cisco Systems Engineer in the Southwest region.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position involves working with the FusionStorm Engineer Manager and NCS team in implementing Cisco based LAN/WAN, Wireless and Unified Communications networks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs design and implementation of Cisco network systems, wireless systems and Unified Communications systems
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
o Cisco CCNP or Cisco CCIE
o 4+ years hands-on design and implementation experience working with relevant technologies
o 4+ years of practical IT experience, with relevant experience implementing Cisco based LAN/WAN Systems
o 4+ years of practical IT experience, with relevant experience implementing Cisco based Wireless Networks
o 4+ years of practical IT experience, with relevant experience implementing Cisco based Unified Communications Systems (Callmanager, Meeting Place Express, Presence)
o Strong knowledge of Cisco Contact Center Express
o Strong Experience of advanced routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF and BGP.
o Strong experience in Enterprise Network Design
o Strong experience in Enterprise Wide Area Network Design.
o Skilled in performing protocol analysis.
o Experience designing and scripting Call Centers
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
o Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
o Excellent oral and written communication skills
o Ability to prioritize and perform research on technical problems with minimal guidance
o After hours on-call availability may be required.
o Ability to effectively work on and prioritize multiple concurrent projects
o Self-motivation and team-player attitude
o Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new technologies and paradigms
o Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
o Ability to research and analyze hardware and software issues
