Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responds and addresses client helpdesk requests remotely via phone and RDP, VNC, and GoToAssist
  • Troubleshoots and resolves desktop, server, and network related issues remotely for client networks based on FPA best practices
  • Optimizes client and FPA’s network performance meeting QOS metrics per client SLA’s
  • Ensures stability and protection of electronic information (ie: ensures backups, anti-virus, web surfing, firewall access, spam filtering, etc. are configured and working to FPA specifications)

    Typical Minimum Requirements

  • Two to three years in-depth experience providing remote support and troubleshooting in multi-server network environments
  • In depth knowledge and experience with MS-Windows Server (all flavors) and MS-Windows XP Professional and Vista
  • In depth knowledge and experience with MS-Windows Exchange Server (all flavors)
  • Experience working directly with technical managers as well as technical end users
  • Likely successful candidates: mid-level network remote support technician / engineer

    MS-Windows Server, Active Directory, MS-Exchange Server, MS-Terminal Server, Citrix Metaframe, MS-WSUS, MS-SQL Server, MS-Office, Dell and HP managed switches, SonicWall Firewalls and SSL VPN Security Appliances, Cisco firewalls and routers, Symantec Backup Exec, Symantec EndPoint Protection, Symantec System Recovery, Citrix Go-To-Assist, Level Platforms Managed Workplace
