Many of us begin writing a memoir only to find ourselves blocked or unsure of how to continue. How do you determine which events in your life are the most relevant? How do you tell your story in your own authentic voice? And how do you weigh your own memories of events with the recollections of others? In this continuing memoir course, we will tackle these issues and others, including how to create distinctive characters, handle shifts in time and pacing, and how to deal with sensitive subject material. Students should come to class with a story they've written or one in-progress.
