JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Social Rec. Assistant (Teen Center)

Reports To: Teen Center Director

Primary Function: The Social Rec. Assistant is responsible for the program development and supervision in the Teen Center Games-room under the direction of the Teen Center Director.

Key roles: (Essential Job Responsibilities)
• Provide leadership and supervision ensuring safety of club members at all times.
• Establish program goals and objectives with the Teen Center Director
• Ensure program schedule is updated on a regular basis to ensure all programs and objectives of programs are achieved.
• Ensure that club members are in compliance with club rules and regulations.
• Provide daily developmentally appropriate programs and encourage member participation in social recreation games-room.
• Provide mentoring and leadership to assure proper conduct, safety and development of participants in line with our mission
• Maintain close communication with Teen Center Director and regularly report program progress and concerns.
• Create and implement weekly program offerings dealing in creative arts. (I.E. Drama, Dance, Video Production)
• The ability to obtain a Class B Drivers License to drive members to and from field trips.

Program Development Implementation
• Establish and maintain program goals and settings that ensure the health and safety of participants with the help of the Teen Center Director.
• Ensure that program areas are safe, well-ventilated and well-lit and that all materials are in good condition.
• Ensure programs are successfully implemented and monitored with gender and cultural diversity in mind.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 23 years of age (due to driving requirements) and with a minimum of at two years completed college courses. 1-2 years experience working in related field preferred. Provide proof of Valid Drivers License with a minimum of five years driving experience. Submit to a fingerprint/background check, submit a clean DMV H6 form.

Salary Range: $9.00-$11.00 per hour DOE (25 Hours per week). Applicant must be flexible with schedule. (Occasional Weekends)
