A deposit of $800 and a total of $515 per month with a 6 month commitment will get you:

-A large unfurnished living room all to yourself, and small closet that you can setup however you'd like (I will have a small bedroom)
-A shared bathroom
-Full access to a fairly large kitchen, fridge, stove, and microwave (you'll be responsible for your own food/grocery costs)
-Water, gas, electricity, land line (local calls only), Internet, and on site laundry
-Use of common household items - toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, lotion, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, any other small general items that can be easily shared
-Street parking only - you will need to purchase an annual permit
-Access to anything you'd need; quick access to PCC and Old Town - but also quick access to some local shops, banks, and grocery stores in Altadena if you don't want to deal with the hustle/bustle of Pasadena; this is a neat/convenient place to live

-The Good News:
-You will be sharing the apartment with only myself, and nobody else; this will be a stable, safe, and predictable place to live, no surprises or curve balls here, no shady people coming and going, no random subleasing to random people, it'll be you and me, and a roof over our heads; I don't have overnight guests and rarely do I ever have anybody over, especially not late
-The rent will not increase for at least 6 months guaranteed; if anything goes up after that it will only be because of a rent increase and/or utilities/bills getting pricier - not because I feel like it
-You can simply sign a rent agreement with me directly, and won't have to have your name on the property company's lease; you won't have to go through a credit or background check
-The property company that manages this place is super responsive, and they like me, and do a great job of taking care of me - I can safely say I don't have a single complaint. Plus, the on site manager is my next door neighbor, and is super cool with me also - so we've got our management needs met. There are no rodents, bugs, plumbing problems, and no leaks during heavy rain. Although the exterior doesn't look great, the interior is awesome and well maintained

-The Bad News:
-The apartment does not have central air or heat (it has a wall a/c unit and ceiling fans, and a wall gas unit I would rather not use, because it seems dangerous). I'm going to be honest, it can get pretty damn hot and cold here during certain weeks out of the year, but if you can sacrifice a little comfort to save money, you will manage, as I have in the past
-There is no dishwasher in the kitchen, so please be able to clean up after yourself after cooking/eating
-I'm located near a pretty busy street; you will hear traffic quite often, and it can get loud, but again, you get very used to it as it becomes white noise; it's never really bugged me enough to freak out about it, especially not in the winter when the windows are almost always closed
-There is no cable TV, and honestly, I'm not interested in it as I barely have time to watch TV - so if that's important enough to you, it's a cost you can take on yourself
-This neighborhood is not "hip" or "cool" in any way (try Los Feliz instead) - my neighbors here in the complex are mostly low to middle class hard working low income families just making it by, but everybody here is super nice and stays out of your way; I've also never feared for my safety here, except for the occasional shady person that shows up around the apartment, but if you don't have dogs to walk at night and kids to raise it's totally fine
-I still have a few large pieces of furniture here I'm trying to get rid of - the sooner I do this, the sooner you can move in; it's been a real challenge selling this stuff (mainly couches), but I know I can do it

-About Me:
-Female, straight, 26, full time working professional, with an active and healthy lifestyle; not home very often; responsible all around, disease and drug free, I don't smoke, don't have pets, no kids, no angry ex-boyfriends, and no heavy emotional baggage
-I've lived here over 2 years and the only reason I'm looking for a roommate is to maximize my savings from my paycheck so that I can begin working towards a better, long term goal of going to grad school, but that's way down the line. Right now, it's time to save money

-About You:
-I prefer a male; if you're a female, please be professional and drama free - I do not want to eventually hear about your daddy issues and/or how you were abused by your last 3 boyfriends who are still stalking you. Yes, I've had bad experiences with females. Too many issues.
-Gay or straight is not important; but please be disease free
-Absolutely, positively no smoking or drugs of any kind, and only social drinking, preferably outside of the apartment, as I don't keep alcohol here, and would prefer not to. No associations with shady people who may bring drugs into the apartment; if I have good reason to believe drugs have entered this place, you're out
-No couch potatoes; you should be doing something full time, whether it's a job, school, both, whatever, just be working towards a goal
-No kids, pets, angry ex boyfriends/girlfriends or other enemies that will show up at the door in the middle of the night
-No overnight or late night guests; definitely no parties
-Be financially responsible; you must pay your rent on time and in full each month; if you cannot do this, there will be penalty/late charges, and if this is a constant pattern, you're out

It's also within walking distance of a farmer's market and a bus stop that takes you straight to Keck Health Science (LAC hospital). It's only 2 miles from the Mission metro stop and Trader Joes and only a short drive or bus ride from Cal State LA (CSULA), Cal Tech, and Pasadena City College (PCC). It's in North Alhambra so the area is really nice and its only a couple blocks from South Pasadena. I fell in love with the place and the location which is why I picked it. I will have it furnished so you just need to furnish your room. If you have stuff you want to add, that's fine as well. The rent is $800 each a month, which does not include electricity and gas but DOES include water and trash. You would also need to pay a deposit of $350. Also, its ready now if you need to move in right away.
