http://winhost.com/) is a high quality, low priced Microsoft Windows web hosting service provider. We are looking for someone to do technical support from our Pasadena office. Support is provided by email and forum. There is no telephone support involved.
Salary range for this position is $20k - $32k, depending on experience and performance.
We typically start at $20k ($9.62/hr. DOE) for the first 90 days, which is a probationary period. When that probationary period is completed we do a performance review and the salary can go up from there, depending on your performance, of course. Promotion within the company is possible, depending on your interests, experience and our needs.
We are looking for people who like to solve problems, who enjoy and take pride and personal interest in their work. Web hosting experience is preferred, but if you have a knack for picking up new technologies, we can train you on the hosting-specific aspects of the position.
IMPORTANT: If you do not have specific web hosting support experience, you should have a strong background in web site programming or management. Your own site, an employer's site, friends sites - YOU HAVE TO HAVE SOME HANDS-ON WEB SITE EXPERIENCE OR IT IS UNLIKELY THAT WE WILL BE ABLE TO CONSIDER YOU FOR THE POSITION.
Also, strong troubleshooting, verbal and WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS are a must for this position. We cannot consider anyone who does not meet that very basic requirement.
WE NEED PEOPLE WHO ARE AVAILABLE FOR ALL SHIFTS. Our support is not 24/7, but you should be free evenings and weekends.
