We are a small company in Walnut looking to fill an entry level Computer Tech. We would prefer you live no more than 20 minutes away from Walnut.
Responsibilities:
- Installing hardware and Software on build to order Rackmount computers.
- Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot all application software problems reported by staff.
- Perform installations and configuration hardware peripherals.
- Facilitate office moves including PCs, phones, port changes, etc. (must be able to lift up to 40 lbs).
- Perform standard desktop technical activities in support of hardware and software.
- Ensure security of inventory assets.
- Assist and guide customers via phone, online chat, and email regarding computer hardware, BIOS, and driver issues.
- Post and reply on the company online forum to help users with technical issues or questions.
- Diagnose, test, and resolve issues with computer hardware, specifically motherboards and video cards.
- Communicate patiently and effectively with clients, providing a step-by-step guide for issues such as BIOS updates or driver installations.
- Recieve and keep Log of all RMA recipets and shipments
Required Technical Experience:
- Must know how to assemble and Test PC systems
• 2+ years experience providing remote or onsite tech support
• Well versed in all Microsoft Operating Systems and Major Microsoft software programs
• General knowledge of spam filtering applications
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting basic RAID configurations.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP Networks
