Web developer and programmer for a fast-growing agency involved with various prestigious clients. Responsible for general management of the development and production webservers, as well as the conception, design, development, documentation and implementation of Internet-based applications to support business operations and/or client projects. Someone who has experience building community based platforms and uses new technologies like Twitter, Facebook, WordPress, Digg, etc in their own life, understands the benefits and believes in the future of those technologies.
Location
This position is full-time and on-site at our SWIRE HQ in Glendora, California.
Requirements:
Must be able to continuously monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards and be able to research, recommend, and apply new technologies as they emerge
In-depth knowledge of XHTML, Javascript, Ajax, PHP, MySQL, Photoshop, CSS2/3, Flash AS2/3
Must be able to address HTML and scripting compatibility issues between different browsers and computing platforms
Ability to understand and contribute to functional requirements and translate them into technical design and development projects
Must possess a highly refined graphic design sensibility, including superior typographic and layout skills
Database creation and maintenance experience
Deep understanding of the principles of web accessibility and user-centered design/development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
3+ years in a similar capacity
Candidate must be self-sufficient and have good English oral and written communication skills
Bachelors degree from a recognized 4 year university or equivalent preferred
Drupal and Wordpress development experience a big plus
