I just need to find a nice guest house somewhere within the next couple of days -- somewhere which is very clean and comfortable and accessible to the main roads and shopping. I have a car...so not a problem to come and see your place.
My place in Manhattan is in an elevator bldg., has a laundromat in the basement and is within walking distance to over 20 major tourist sites. The restaurants are incredible in the neighborhood and there is no problem catching a taxi or a city bus (they run very quickly) or the subway to go wherever you want to go: e.g. Brooklyn, Harlem, Uptown, Downtown, etc....
Your own place in NYC, a large 15 x 14 ft private bedroom in exchange for an equal BR here or a place in Brooklyn near Coney Island which we own.
I am out here alone, do not smoke and basically need some quiet to do my thing and focus on what I need to do out here. I am very clean, responsible and have done all types of swaps before -- all without any problems or drama in any fashion. I have tons of refs from people who I have swapped with all around the globe.
I would love very much to locate a guest house somewhere and if THAT could happen quickly, I will even throw in a photo session (free) and I can arrange for all sorts of other goodies in the music area for you. (seriously).

A short bus ride (or a very interesting walk) to East Village, Lower East Side, Tribeca, Nolita, Union Square Farmer’s Market, Meatpacking District, and Chelsea. Public transportation (subways and buses) is practically at my door.
Easy access to all uptown locations-Met Museum, Museum of Natural History, Museum of Modern Art, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Harlem—by subway or bus.
Apartment is a light-filled, airy, 4th floor WALKUP (NO elevator), 500 square feet, 9 1/2 ceilings, exposed brick, large windows and AC in every room, views of the Empire State Building, and the sunset. Completely renovated; it has a full-sized bed in small bedroom, and an air mattress in the living room; modern kitchen with fridge and microwave (no working stove), and updated bathroom. It has a TV, dvd player, wireless Internet access, and a stereo. This is a very clean apartment in a very safe neighborhood. No smokers and no pets, please. Pics upon request.
I will be glad to provide many character references for myself and my friends.
This place is a lil gem for the person who wants to be in the middle of all the action but dosn't want to pay the areas hotel prices (the boutique hotel on the following street is 195 a night)

Our home has 2 floors, is about 2800 sq feet with HUGE bedrooms, french doors - indoor/outdoor feel throughout, view decks off of each bedroom that overlook all of Los Angeles - spectacular views, huge lush backyard with fruits and veg growing - really a one of a kind place close to everything. Separate dining room, working fireplace, bonus rooms, office, soundproof drum room, King tempurpedic beds in both rooms and more - huge home office could also be used as a bedroom for your visiting guests with aerobed.
Just up the hill from all of the trendy coffee shops, restaurants, shopping at Sunset Junction, (Intellegentsia, Vegan Restaurants, Cliff's Edge, Gelato, Casbah Cafe) - close to Trader Joe's and other nice markets - close to Silver Lake Reservoir, Los Feliz, Echo Park, Griffith Park, Burbank, Downtown, Hollywood, Pasadena, Glendale. Takes about 25-45 mins to get to the beach, depending on traffic.
I am looking for a place of comparable value in either Lower East Side, Tribeca, East Village, Greenwich Village, Chinatown, Soho or the West Village - will also consider a great place in Fort Greene, Dumbo, Park Slope, Williamsburg (if Subway close) --obviously size of space need not be comparable but looking for something special and nice. Prefer elevator buildings only. No shares/rooms/hosting please

We live off the Graham avenue L train subway stop which is only a 12 minute walk to Bedford avenue or to McCarren Park. Graham avenue has a nightlife scene of its own and is very family friendly too. Google Motorino or Mesa Coyoacan-2 great new restaurants that opened lately. Plenty of bars and cafes too.
Our house is a 3 minute walk from 2 subway stops (Graham avenue or Grand street) which is 10 minutes from the East Village or 12 minutes from Union Square in Manhattan.
