Experienced Video Editor For High End Adult Internet Firm
If you've checked out the site, you've seen the types of videos we produce. If you're an editor worth your salt, you realize that just because it looks like it came straight off the camcorder, that doesn't necessarily mean it did. Indeed, our videos are neither corporate glossy nor home camcorder ghetto but instead reside in a niche area of a personal yet well-lit and structured feel. We sell personality as much as physical characteristics and the person selected for this position should view themselves as creating mini-films instead of slopping together a "porn video." There is nothing trashy or embarrassing about what we do, and the person selected for this position must similarly believe as much. After a trial run working on our latest site and a few projects as an independent contractor, the selected candidate will transition to a full time position in our Las Vegas office. There, you'll be required to edit several hours of video per week and process the output for online and offline distribution (RealVideo, Windows Media, MPEG, stills, and DVD). In most technical areas, a protocol has been established, but subjectively, you must be able to mimic the style already in place and to self manage your time. To be successful, you'll further need superb skills at editing sound, and you must be comfortable working with both gay and straight material. We're a PC/Mac based house, running Final Cut Pro HD, and we require at least three year's hands-on experience with non-linear video editing. What's important for this position is that you should live and breathe editing. Experience in the realm of reality programming is a definite plus, and a working knowledge of DVD creation would be beneficial for this position as well. Compensation is commensurate with expertise and experience, but if you've got the skills, we've got the salary to keep you happy. Again, this is not a hand-holding position. For some projects, you will receive the raw footage and be almost singularly responsible for processing it into the final full length and preview videos. Your editing skills must be exemplary, and your ability to work as part of a team in getting the job completed (from raw footage to website, box art, and promotional material) will require you to interface with others. Only candidates submitting portfolios of prior work via e-mail or via DVD and only those considering moving to the Las Vegas/Henderson area will be considered.
